hope this is accurate . your vid was nothing but adverts. at some point I lost count of how many cops does it take to cuff a homeless man. appears to
show , that in America , we the people, are not immune to injustice.
hope the Feds look into this incident . and ,it doesn't spark another Rodney
king riot.
watch closely . the officers "threat assesment" of this man ,is in my opinion, incorrect from the begining. questions to ask . was the officer in imminent
danger ? was the client or subject of the police contact in imminent danger ?
he could have backed off if the man had displayed psychiatric need. or called an ems crew whom might have more training. later as tape rolls , ems does arrive but too late.
over response and overreaction that escalated out of control by a beat cop
who is overworked and stressed and doesn't appear to have " de escalation
training. " the cop. displays a certain lack of discipline in appearance and demeaner with the ' common folks'. who even downtrodden deserve no less respect than any other human being . does he identify himself as a police officer ?
or show common courtesy ?
the 8 other cops weren't necessary- they could have been responding
to crimes in progress and maintaining preventive crime patrol.
not to diminish the alleged crimes committed in the vid. and, the families loss
in this tragic preventable death.
the training dipicted by this video of the police officers encounter of a common citizen in California leads me to the conclusion that this police department should
be under court order / perhaps federal ombudsman to implement remedial and permanent training classes so that these unfortunate incidents never occur .
