Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, atheists, pantheists, none of them think Christianity is wrong due to other reasons? Lack of evidence, being brought up into other religions, different interpretations of evidence, the list is endless, but it is more than a little arrogant to think your religion is so self-evidently true that everyone believes at heart, but rejects because of pride. So, I don't think your statement is really accurate.
My statement on pride was not ment to be all encompassing but pride is a biggie and comes into play in many instances. Especially, I would think, atheism.

No, not really. I was not raised in a Christian home. I'm pretty sure I went through many stages with pride being a part of it.
