Right now I am reading Frank Herbert's Dune for the first time. Before that I read all the X-Files books (Antibodies, Ruins, Skin, Whirlwind, Goblin, and Ground Zero).
Another good one I read a while back called The Human Disguise by James O'Neal. I saw it at a Dollar General one time, and the premise seemed interesting, If you like future, some what post apocalyptic with a splash of conspiracy I would suggest this title.
Some of my favorites ..
Dracula -- Bram Stoker
White Fang -- Jack London
Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, Hannibal Rising, Red Dragon -- Thomas Harris
Batman Knightfall -- Denny O'Neil
Monkey Bones (shorts) -- Stephen King
And I have collection of Edgar Allan Poe's poems and shorts that I read again from time to time.
Non fiction -- a book called She Comes First by Ian Kerner. If the subject, which the title means literally, interests ypu, it's a well written and respectfully tasteful book. It taught me a lot that I didn't know.
"To alcohol, the cause of and solution to all of life's problems." -- Homer Simpson
"Paradise is feeling warm, when the world is feeling cold." -- Roger Whittaker
