I wasn't aware that having an officially ordained, traditional marriage was a Constitutional right. My brother and his "wife" had a Pagan "hand holding ceremony" where they were "married" by a Wiccan Priest. They are happy with that but in the eyes of the law, they aren't traditionally married other than by common-law since they've lived together so long. They don't want anything to do with conformist, traditional, stereotypical "marriage" and I'm constantly surprised that gays fight for it with such zeal. Even on TV, married gay couples call each other "partners," so obviously they are quite comfortable without the traditional labels. A civil union, as long as it qualifies for insurance and other purposes, should be plenty ok with gays. But the folks in charge of the gay agenda seem to always have the need to complain about something. Maybe by keeping gays (constituents) angry, they generate revenue and increase their "relevance" vis-à-vis boycotts and voting blocks. Yep, that's probably it.
