The Obama Administration & US Politics

March to Marxism

As the 2012 election is now over, Barack Obama has won a second term. Many wonder how his policies, his administration, and how the entire political arena, will change our future.

Ted Kaczynski got it right. You may disagree with his method of getting attention but he was right. All this left wing / right wing talk is just a sideshow. Both sides end up arguing for the same thing. Each side wants to eliminate the freedoms of the other side.

It all ends up in the same place, Marxism. Big government and absolute power. When a politician gets some power, what does he want? More power. Government abuses are getting more and more common, and Bridgegate is just the latest example. And what is driving this? The answer is, surprisingly, technology. Technology allowed the NSA to spy on all of you. Technology allowed western society to push its philosophy onto the whole world through media. But I can hear you saying, "how can technology be responsible for all this society's problems?". Easy, because when you consider that technology has resulted in pushing all of our goals into 3 categories.

Category 1 is for goals that are easy to achieve with little or no effort. Category 2 is goals that are achievable but only with significant effort. Category 3 goals are those that are not achievable regardless of effort. Modern society tries to move all basic needs into category 1. Water, food, shelter, education, entertainment, etc. Things that modern society doesn't want you having it moves into category 3, power and weapons for example. Category 2 ends up being filled with manufactured goals, those created by modern society to control you, e.g. to sell you something. And people in modern society end up spending more and more time on manufactured category 2 goals.

A technological society depends on this process. It can't progress without it. So the things that people today complain about are only going to get worse.

Why will this lead to Marxism? Look at politics today. Every political party takes some aspect of our social life and they politicize it. So they now can spend all their time arguing over how best to control that part of your life. It doesn't matter which side of the aisle you are on, it only changes which argument you end up making and which topic you concentrate on. Whatever the politcal parties argue against, they all are arguing for Marxism. Quite a few people have said that Marxism, or Socialism, is inevitable. Yeah it may be. Becuase I don't see anyone arguing for anything else. In the end this will prove the ultimate truth, that governments don't work. And that is why I'm an anarchist. Welcome to the Dark Carnival.

The Unabomber Manifesto does a good job of explaining what we see going on today. And its why the government couldn't just put him in jail. They had to convince you that he is crazy. But he is not crazy. He's right. And our governments have done much worse than sending a few small bombs in the mail.

I just wanted to add something. I could not have come up with a better example than Edward Snowden. Who is it that has complained the loudest about Snowden? The answer is Silicon Valley. They have vilified him. Why? Because he has proven that Ted Kaczynski is right.

TK is the most dangerous man in the world, even behind bars.

Good people use technology for good. Evil people use technology for evil. And technology works equally well for both.

That may be. Politicians need money and Wall Street is where the money is. If companies like Goldman Sachs can get away with the things they have and no one goes to jail, that says it loud and clear. Thats why GS keeps having to pay more fines. Its blackmail.

The fines are small compared to what is at stake, which is essentially a global unregulated derivatives market with a notional value of over a quadrillion dollars.

This also explains why the global economy is controlled not by governments but by private financial corporations.

It would be nice to identify which corporations are calling the shots, because many things the gov has done has hurt many companies. Actions like the Obama administration's multi-billion dollar lawsuit against Standard & Poor, a retaliation for lowering the US credit rating, contradicts the theory.

”But when the law, by means of its necessary agent, force, imposes upon men a regulation of labor, a method or a subject of education, a religious faith or creed — then the law is no longer negative; it acts positively upon people. It substitutes the will of the legislator for their own wills; the initiative of the legislator for their own initiatives. When this happens, the people no longer need to discuss, to compare, to plan ahead; the law does all this for them. Intelligence becomes a useless prop for the people; they cease to be men; they lose their personality, their liberty, their property."

See, people knew back in 1850 that democratic goverments would get out of hand. And yet we ended up here anyway.
