He is in a Martha Stewart level of prison. He can't run and can't hide, he has no place to go, but serve his term, most likly until he dies. People would have shot this guy for a nickle who lost everything with him, and I probably would feel the same way. Figuring out who goes to what prison in our systems, is probably one of the most unfair systems we have. If you are nobody, you get thrown into the ax murder dungeon, if you are a white colar crime and wear a suit and tie, we seem to act more humane twards them. Why is that? If you wear bluejeans and do a crime you are scum, but if you dress nice, you get easy treatment.
Burney did the same crime over years to many many people, which makes him in effect a "serial" predator, taking people for their entire life savings. He took everything from many people, leaving them penniless, and living so high on the hog, none of us could imagine it. Many will end up homeless, or in the homes of their children, in not too long. Entire lives of working and saving taken without mercy. Burney may be far more dispicapable than the one time ax-murderer, becasue Burney never had remorse, he just kept on taking people, knowing what he was doing. Worst part is Burney could have developed an actual plan that was legitimate, made people and himself money. He was smart enough to do it all legitimatly.
