About ten years ago I slipped on the floor immediately outside the bathroom. Wetness had a part in it, but so also did alcohol!

I fell on my posterior and mumbled self-congratulations that I hadn't fallen badly.

Then I looked at the middle finger of my right hand and saw it was bent towards my 4th finger at a 45 degree angle at the middle joint.

Perhaps because I was drunk I just snapped it back in place. But it took aqes for it to stop hurting when I tried to bend it, so motorcycling was somewhat problematic.

Mine doesn't ache according to the weather as far as I can tell, but the joint never resumed its former slimness and it's a bit stiffer than the middle finger on my left hand still now.

I blacked out for ten or twenty seconds, but I managed to play that day.

Ahhhh! The days of softball, third baseman myself. I miss it so much.
