Hatfields and McCoys

We watched only becasue regular TV, all the finale's were over last week, and nothing was on. It was well done from a standpoint of characters, wardrobe, and the set being pretty authentic Appalacian. My wife said it was filmed in Yugoslavia, so go figure. Why not go to the hills of West Virginia and Kentucky? I thought the story line was dull, and predictable. They seemed to capture the back woods, dumber than dirt, mentality. Hard people, no education, fenatics religiously, but would shoot their own kin, in a heartbeat. Only thing missing was shaking snakes, and marrying 12 year old cousins. Kevin Costner got rave reviews, and they said it kickstarted his carreer again. He and Bill Paxton both placed good parts, it revieved some of the Wyatt Earp cast. Tom Beringer was not recognizable, Powers Booth was good.
