Summer died late yesterday afternoon as the first real Cold front came thru the area. It's hung up a bit due to Lee's slow ass plow toward the Northeast, but the front managed to get well to our East allowing for the cooler air to sweep over us.

It's a very welcome change..........it was 100 degrees the prior two days and well into the 90's for the previous week.................yet that air mass was extremely dry...............that happens in Early September.

Yes it'll get to 90 again before it's all said and done, but real Summer heat is dead, I say good riddance......bring on the Cold.

I've had a large number of Hummingbirds pounding away on the feeder, many fueling up for the flight south...............another sign Fall is very near..........I'll stop feeding in late September very Early October...............otherwise they'll try to stay only to die in Winter.

Now I wonder who will get the First killer blizzard of the 11-12 Winter season........

Winter in the bay area is like a summer day in other areas. Very mild.

We do not really get to see the seasons change like they do in places that have real winters. Cole is seeing first signs, but he isn;t done with summer yet.

it FINALY got to 74 for the high here in mo. yesterday, and 75 now, GOD it feels good. sure tired of the 100+ every damn day. and that 114 that i never want to see again. . BUT i do not look forward to the winter. HATE the cold

Where I live the order goes like this -

Spring = Winter weather.
Summer = Spring weather.
Fall = Summer weather.
Winter = Fall weather.

Right now it's 92 by the beach. I hate how nature just takes a left turn in our neck of the woods.
