The smartest people I know, smart in an all around manner, all dropped out of college. The most educated I know are all lost when it comes to common sense, some can't balance a <a onMouseOver="javascript:window.status='check book';return true;" onMouseOut="javascript:window.status='';return true;" href="http://parrotcoupe.info/?v=3%2E03&ss=check+book">check book</a>, or know how to find a dip stick on their vehicle.Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with a quality education, but education has turned into a business all it's own and is nothing like it should be.
EXAMPLE: I have a friend who runs a very successful company. We were at the bar having a drink and this subject came up for some reason. He told me that he has stopped hiring College graduates simply because they can't do the job they were supposed to be skilled at. They all need to be trained and all expect a certain pay grade simply because they have a diploma.![]()
This was confirmed by another at the bar who told us that it's because most states keep track of stats when it comes to grads and that that is why Colleges, and <a onMouseOver="javascript:window.status='high schools';return true;" onMouseOut="javascript:window.status='';return true;" href="http://elephantine.info/?v=3%2E03&ss=high+schools">High Schools</a> are passing those who are not capable of doing the work. It's all about the money and run just like a business. Lot's of these institutions/ companies are public and trade on the Nas or NYSE.
Pretty sad if you ask me.
Cole
Not that I'm against your idea, but the facts are that accessories do not an assault weapon make.
An education isn't just about going to school, it's about common sense and what you've learned on your own time.
The simple fact is, that these news people are retards.

laughs....you take away the senseless people,or do which is easier, take the guns away.
Cool! So instead of people who abide by laws having guns, we're only left with criminals who have guns!
BRILLIANT!

Even better. They'll be in timeout for 10, no no, 15 minutes! We'll also take away their juice and TV privileges.
That'll show 'em!

When asked of an NRA spokesman "why not close the <a onMouseOver="javascript:window.status='background check';return true;" onMouseOut="javascript:window.status='';return true;" href="http://dingalone.info/?v=3%2E03&ss=background+check">background check</a> loophole that allows this?" (ie. the senseless people described in above posts having ready access to buy firearms), his answer was "Why not simply remove the requirement for all <a onMouseOver="javascript:window.status='background checks';return true;" onMouseOut="javascript:window.status='';return true;" href="http://dingalone.info/?v=3%2E03&ss=background+checks">background checks</a>?"
That is the stupidest answer to that question that I can envision. In effect he is stating that its OK to not bother at least trying to make it harder for an insane person or convicted criminal from purchasing a firearm. He wants criminals to be able to buy guns legally.
If the problem is that criminals have guns he has just stated that as far as he is concerned he would allow them to buy them legally.
