Wrong.

One Easter I prayed to speak to the Easter Bunny about what came first -- the bunny or the egg. That night I imagined an invisible bunny jumped onto my windowsill, and I began hearing voices telling me the bunny came first.

That's why I'm so "deeply wounded".....because it conflicts with logic and reasoning.
I don't believe what I believe because it's what I desire to believe. I believe what I believe because it's what logic and reason cause me to believe. All I want is to live with the truth -- nothing more, nothing less.

Thank you event_horizon, for showing me that I need to be deeply grateful for the faith I do have, as imperfect as it is much of the time.

I pray that your soul experiences the dignity that its creator views it with , and that your guardian angel shows you how much you mean to our Father in heaven, and how much Jesus suffered for your eternal happiness.

God bless you .

You're doing a fine job of judging all by yourself.

I should frame that on my wall as a sign of the universe imploding.

I'm giving a view point on what I see as lies told to children, but go ahead and judge me, we all judge each other..so I guess we're all guilty of it, whether we want to admit or not.

 Pot calling the kettle black again?

The most judging I have seen on this board, comes from you greeney, so save it .k?

You can sit their and judge those who have no belief in God , NOT lying about what they believe to their children, yet you feel its ok to tell your children and grandchildren about some big imaginary bunny, all in the pretense of giving them a little"joy" in their lives.

I see you not only lie to your grandchildren, but yourself as well. I never said do away with Easter baskets, but make Christ and what EASTER IS REALLY ABOUT , the main focus, and DON'T LIE to children. They have enough lies in their lives.

yep, thats right, i am judging you.. Just like everybody judges to some extent at one time or another.

You're no better than I in that department greeney2, and neither is at1with0, so get over yourself already.

Thankfully as grown ups they aren't expecting an Easter Basket now, but they have no faith, one is drawn to things of the occult, because of all the "magic" in movies , such as you have mentioned, and for apparent reasons they still see Christmas as a time for consumer indulgence, and even spend what they don't have to try and live up to that ridiculous mindset and standard which was NOT SET by JESUS !

Sorry, but I have to say, I screwed it up, and regret it , by going with the "worldly " standards of celebrating Holy Days. Not saying that my children are unbelievers because of this, but it sure didn't help to strengthen their faith.

Yours is not the case with me, my wife, our kids, or grandchild, and millions of other families, WHO LIED TO THEIR KIDS, ACCORDING TO YOU. My kids expect nothing and have become productive mature adults, that know Jesus, and are guided in life by their Faith, along with other things instilled in them. Along with the easter bunny, Santa Claus, and the tooth Fairy, we managed to put them both through christian private schools from preschool to 12th grade, so we did not fail, in that area teaching them to know Jesus, while we lied to them about sinister things like Santa Clause.

You have a lot of odasity to assume how everyone elses kids turned out, eluding to your own failures.

Not once did I assume to how your kids turned out..now did I ? That's an assumption on your part. I merely stated that i don't think that lying to children, especially about Holy Feast Days, is a very Holy thing to do, and I'm not changing my opinion on that .

The one who has the audacity here is you, expecting that we should all applaud the "little fairy tales" you told your children , and notice what a great job you did.

I'll leave the judging of your children and mine up to Jesus . My guess is neither of them is truly practicing Catholicism as the church teaches , much like you didn't judging by the number of children you have. Just an observation, most Catholics don't, just don't be a hypocrite about it.

I think many many so called Catholics are going to be in for a big wake up call , at some point. My self included. Hopefully your son did not have premarital sex, or at least went to confession about it if he did. If not, he will die with mortal sin on his soul, and every time he takes communion it is sacrilege.

My guess is you haven't really done that great of a job greeney2. Don't kid yourself. You show a sin of pride, by stating that because they went to a private catholic school, you did well by them. Some of the worst criminals come from private Catholic schools, and much of the illuminati bloodlines send their children to them.

K..I think I should leave now, before I really tell you what I think.
