Dems: Patriot Act Best Thing Since Sliced Bread

As the 2012 election is now over, Barack Obama has won a second term. Many wonder how his policies, his administration, and how the entire political arena, will change our future.

Frrostedman, I don't know if you've checked out the videos I posted from Michael Badnarak's Constitution class. In one of those videos its mentioned that the highest income tax ever collected in the US was 98%. Can you imagine? I don't know the story behind it. Maybe the wealth was from inheritance or working, but regardless, they lost the majority of their wealth due to unfair taxes.

I know Obama is being blamed for socialism, but I'd like to first blame FDR. The "new deal" was a raw deal that needs to be undone.

I agree on FDR and no I'm sorry, I haven't watched the video. I have big problems with FDR and as Glenn Beck has caught a ton of flack for--McCain, being a big fan of FDR--may have even been worse for the country than Obama.

Beck goes on to explain that McCain would have done a lot of the same things as Obama (economically) but it might have largely gone unnoticed--at least compared to Obama who is flailing his left-wing radical arms in the air, daring anyone to oppose him... and drawing a lot of attention.

If you want to understand libertarians, check out the videos from Badnarik that I posted. This guy was the 2004 presidential candidate for the libertarian party. He has been researching the Constitution for years. He also fights to keep the Constitution alive. You may even agree with some of the things he says. ;)

I appreciate Beck for what he is doing today. I suspect he is walking a fine line between MSM and trying to talk about real issues. It's a start.

FDR was one of the worst presidents ever. But, I can't even look to republicans. Look at Nixon, the "liberals" should be praising him for increasing government and government spending, just like Bush jr did. I like Barry Goldwater. The last decent president, who wasn't murdered, in my mind was Ike. I know that I've been called a "liberal" and in some respects I am, I want change, but not "change" based on an Obama chant. I like the Constitution. I'm tired of these illegal governments stomping on it. I'm even more abhorred at the fact that Americans don't even know their God given rights, not privileges, but unalienable Rights! But, what do you expect from a state run "education" mill?

I'm starting to come around... I largely agree with what you are saying. Back in I think 5th or 6th grade, my Dad voted for Ed Clark, then the Liberterian candidate for President running against Carter. Later my Dad turned very Reagan Conservative which is a little odd, because Dad was an occultist, Agnostic, and very open minded. Carter's total failure as President is probably what pushed Dad over the edge politically. I have been familiar, and very comfortable, with the Liberterian view since my Father drilled the main themes of Liberterianism into my head way back when. I don't think the Liberterian agenda conflicts with my religious beliefs at all, though obviously I oppose unnecessary abortion and my guess is a typical Liberterian would leave it up to the mother in all cases.

Well, Chuck Baldwin is a Christian minister and the 2008 presidential candidate for the Constitution party which is very similar to Libertarian. The libertarian answer to abortion and most things is that the federal government should stay out of it and let the states decide. If you look at Roe v Wade it is a gross misinterpretation of the right to privacy.

frrostedman I had other threads going and was heavily involved in them. But I will comment.

I was not here for the "Bush bashing' but Bush will most likely go down in history as the most inept person to hold the office of the President of the United States. (Jesus! I can't believe how polite I am being given the subject of Bush)

Obama is just as bad if not worse because he is inteligent and knows what hios puppet masters are doing and he is willingly going along with it ...that makes him EVIL and more DANGEROUS to the American people and indeed the world.

Talk of the the Patriot Act being repealed in whole of part is absolute Rhetoric and propaganda. If it were ever to look like it would be repealed while the NWO puppet masters are in control an act of terrorism would occur just as it did on the Delta Flight.

The NWO puppet masters have completely infiltrated every level of government in every country of the world and have successfully infiltrated all political parties, the military and Law enforcement.

I know you know the truth but ...so many more are asleep.
