I'm utterly amazed Aquarian that all you want to read is the collateral damage done my our forces, while you totally ignore the statistics of collateral damage inflicted by insurgents. Collateral is by the way accidental, so I use that term lightly regarding the insurgents. Their targets were not accidental, they just didn;t care who died in their attacks. They have killed many times between 100 to 200 people targeting a single person. Many times their own Mosques that are "Sacrate and Holy". Holy Boloney is more like it. They behead, torture, and murder families every single day. They blow up people doing no more than applying for jobs. This was one of the points about the study done estimating 650,000 were dead as a result of The USA, from less than 1000 actual known deaths. Of those deaths a vast majoriety were classified as "Other or Unknown", giving not a single death attributed to insurgents or Al Queda.

You better start counting what they are responsible for.

Some things need to be put into perspective. It is true that insurgents kill, maim, and injure civilians on a daily basis. This however does not mean that it makes the war justifiable. After-all, the "mission", according to some here, remains argumentative. I'll leave it at that for now in this thread. But when one considers that most "insurgents" are really desperate people, one can see that they are just trying to force out the occupying forces with no "victory in mind" as the U.S. military aims to attain. However misguided, these people, foreign fighters, freedom fighters, insurgents, etc. will use anything and anyone in their way to show the U.S. military its relentless commitment to driving them out. Does this make it right? No. Is it possible to understand from a psychological/sociological aspect? Yes.

They didn't start when we got there.

The fact you see these etc. people as "freedom fighters, insurgents" used togather tells me your agenda really mixed up, confused, and totally uninformed.

you know the funny thing about war is nobody likes it, not the insurgents, not the civilians and not the USG.

I think we should stop killing each other for any reason...how unreasonable is that?

all of the arguments on the "war on terror" (pro or con) seem to stem from this basic theme of "it's alright to kill people if we agree with the reason." humans are retarded as a species and basically just really good at blowing stuff up...I fear for our future.

True. The insurgents want to have things their way, they don't want to fight, but to oppress and control.

It's not unreasonable if everyone agrees, so it's totally unreasonable.

No.

If that's how you look at it.

Private contractors and big business, as well as the Elite, LOVE war, it makes then tons and tons of money. The simple conclusion is that there will always be, what some seem to LOVE to call war, WAR---Only it's not war in a real sense, not as History would have you believe, it's why they fashion phrases as a substitute. The War on Terror is a classic example, The War on Drugs can be called another, or maybe the War on Obesity: Has that been coined yet?

No these are not wars, these are foolish endeavors that will have, in the end, tragic and meaningless conclusions. Imagine the Think tanks trying to worm their way out of these two utterly ridiculous actions, each of which at present has no obvious end in sight.

Fully half of the Population hasn't a clue about these actions and the other half simply doesn't care, just as long as it doesn't directly affect them.

Oh but we have to do this, and we have to do that, or the big bad Al_K-Duhs of the world will gobble us whole

Obviously they are losing control of the situation at hand, it's why they have employed TV to help sell their supposed commitment to the effort. How lame is that, worse they know it has value simply because they control the content and make final decisions on what to broadcast, and what NOT to broadcast---Call it controlled censorship! It's something they do routinely with the collateral damage issues, it's why US and British news agencies will never show actual unedited footage, photos, or content that would put these actions in proper context, especially when speaking of the collateral damage.

Yet some agencies are not beholden to the Elite, or the machine, but I can't bring myself to post the evidence on this forum. Besides I'm sure some here would turn a blind eye, or make an excuse that those photos are fakes, or shopped, or propaganda. Denial is a popular thing when it comes to these actions, something I find troubling to say the least. If more people cared enough to know the truth, see the evidence, understand the insanity----then the boys and girls would be home in a New Yawk Minute.

This reminds me of Israel and their denial in the use of White P which evidence shows that they willingly unleashed on School aged kids. Never mind it's an obvious war crime and a clear violation of International Law, it's the Israeli's --and people have to ask why some prefer to call them ( Jews ) --which would make a great thread in and of itself.
