This question will probably not be settled until there is a complete theory of quantum gravity.

There is definitely an observed anti-gravity effect in the accelerated expansion of the universe.

While the law of conservation of energy is an invariance principle that holdes locally, globally, there is no real conservation of energy in the theory of general relativity. Pseudo-tensors must be used to describe energy conservation laws in GR. :mrgreen:
