This is some old school shiz. Some reason I love some of the old school music, puts me in a goofy fun mood. But this video is ridiculous.

Babs!!
I have to get her new cd.
I love her. I think, as a young gal, I actually formed some of my personna, on her and her characters.

I love all those old crooning songs, too.

Recently, I watched a bio pic on Cole Porter and then the next day, on the morning news, they had a story on Johny Mercer. Got me all full of melancholy..such great song writers.

I loves me some Steppenwolf, too. I saw them in concert and got in a fight with my H that night because he said I was giving one of them "F me eyes" (I denied it at the time, but I SO was) :D

My H rides a Harley and sorta comes from a heritage of bikers.
Back in the day we attended a few runs and ralleys and such.
Once, at one he got real wasted, got up on stage and sang this to the audience...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2X6OS-J9g8
The whole time one of his older sisters (a SUPER hot biker babe in her day..all his sisters were)
she was doing the wave, all by herself for him, down in the audience.
It was hilarious.

I must be swimming in ADLH (the enzyme that means you can hold a lot of alcohol).

Lash,
My H must have that gene. me , I have the opposite gene. Can you say "light weight"..which is really a f'd thing to be if officially you'd be considered an alcoholic.

When I get drunk..which can happen easily..I can get CRAZY drunk (literally) and my hangovers feel like death aproaching.

and finally tigger will start a conspiracy thread at Unknown Country called "Kiss My Crazy White Ass John Greenewald Jr You Ceausescu Slave Trading Ottawa Murdering Life Insurance Salesman"

That would be so great. Too funny.
They are getting good at finding her occasionally.
She'd have to do it at some other board ...some new..innocent, naive kind of board that just sprung up somewhere.

One should never allow one's natural talents to interfere with realizing one's potential.

Or..heck...lack of them, either..don't tell me I can't write poetry..I can write it..just not the supposed "good" kind...lol

Happy new year you guys/gals

Got a new kitty....from an no-kill animal shelter...a few days after Christmas....she's so beautiful.

She's a blue-point siamese...

Q! She is SO beautiful!!!

A winter cat. (she looks like winter, too)
Winter, that might have been a good name :o)

I am down to three cats oen dog..they are dorpping like flies...my dog is Nine this year. My two boy cats are SEVENTEEN in March (if they make it until then)..my girl cat is fifteen this year.

All of them old.

After they've all passed I am going to see how long I can go "petless".
I have always had an animal...I just wnat to see what it is like to not have one..for a while.

I practically garauntee within a year or two I will have either one cat, one dog, of one of each...lol

To be honest..there is that chicken (they can live to up fifteen years or more)
It showed up last summer in my back yard and is still there.

I feed it..first only bread crumbs and scraps..now...bird food, too. (it and the sparrows that hang out with it..for the food, I believe..they get what it doesn;t eat (they all live in the same bush/shrubbery in the back of my yard..I have refused to trim it since the chicken moved into it)

So, I guess it's a pet..of sorts.

Today I saw the movie "Doubt" for the first tme. OMG..SUCH a good movie!! (one of the best I've seen in a while, I think)
Yesterday it was "The Secret Life of Bees" another really good one.

I recommend them both. (the bee movie is more chick flickish, though)

Did I tell ya'll?
I had to cut down my willow. (it lived in the center of my front yard..planted it ten years ago) Ants were taking over...killing it slowly..the last few years..like a cancer.

It's cut down to a tall stump. In the evening it looks like a ghost standing in my front yard, becaus eit is around as tall as a man and is brown so it blends in. Your eyes, from a distance, can tell something is there..mansize..but not..what.

It gave me an idea. Instead of cutting it down I am going to either turn it into a statue/sculpture..wood art..or a totem poll of sorts.

Truly..at the very least I will cut it in half and put a big ceramic bowl on it to be a bird bath/feeder..save the other part of it and make something of it to display in my home.

I loved that tree. I put one of those tree faces on it..facing my home instead of the street, so I could look out my front window and say 'hi' to it.

I use to call it "Rasta Tree' because with the face on it and the hanging vines/branches..they looked like dreadlocks...it reminded me of Bob Marley.

I am planting a new one next to it's corpse in a month or so.

Life goes on.

okay..I am posting this here..since NA didn't bother (aparently this thread is his version of a 'red headed stepchild'..whatever)

I personally..think it is for real...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSFDMcun ... re=related

I love "Mary", I believe she is some form of Earth herself trying to speak to us...she is our mother, after all.

Tonight I wondered if 'Mary"/Goddess?/Earth Mother/female energy looks at females , in general, sorta in the way I do (actually I look all youngish people this way, but mostly youngish gals this way, since I was one)

I look at young'ns with a melancholy smile....
I want to tell them, protect them, etc...

but know, I can't..

that only life, itself can provide them....

I was watching a video tonight...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RMx2435 ... emembering my own youth..and wanting to hug all the youth'ns in my arms..in a motherly (been there, done that) kind of way...and wondered if this is how SHE feels...times a billion..

Hi Lashmar
BC – Keep well mate.

I've decided that's one of the 3 points of Life
health wealth and wisdom.

Bionic - sorry about your tree. I planted a seed fom a Redbud back of the yard years ago and now the new tree is getting big as I cut the old one down as needed (ants got it).
Gives a certain perspective...

If you want you can google John Kay (singer for Steppenwolf) or go to http://www.steppenwolf.com/s/w/tennesse ... le_march05

He's raising elephants and wolves in Tennessee, and they're still touring at a moment's notice all over the world.
...elephants? in Tenn. ? Maybe I read it wrong.
