The UFO Traffic Report for December 29, 2010, includes selected cases from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

UFO ALERT national ratings update: California, Florida, and Texas, ALERT 3, with high concentration of reports; Michigan, Arizona, Indiana, Illinois, Georgia, and Tennessee, ALERT 4, with higher than national average sightings during the past month. All other states remain at UFO ALERT 5, with lower numbers of sightings. Watch list: New Jersey, Missouri, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

The following are the unedited and as yet uninvestigated reports filed with MUFON. All information is taken from the public portion of the MUFON witness reporting database, so city names are often not mentioned for privacy purposes. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If MUFON investigates and reports back on any of these cases, I will release an update.

An Alaska witness driving home from work at 6:15 p.m. on December 27, in the Kenai Spur Highway in Kenai reports observing a "bread-shaped" object with three bright lights in MUFON Case # 27139. "It wasn't really moving; It wasn't blinking, and 30 seconds later I look again and it's gone. And i never saw it again."

A Kansas couple driving northeast along I-35 near Gardner report watching three lights in a triangle formation on December 26, 2010, in MUFON Case # 27135. "I saw three bright points of blue-white light, moving in a triangle formation," the reporting witness stated."The lights were flashing on and off rhythmically. The flashes were fast, but not strobe-light fast. The lights flashed perhaps 1-2 times per second. The flashes were very regular, like a clock ticking. I could not make out what the lights were attached to, so they could have been from one object or three objects moving in tight formation."

An Arizona witness reports watching a "very reflective" sphere while driving along Route 288 north near Parker Creek at 2 p.m. on October 7, 2010, in MUFON Case # 27130. "It was just suspended in the very clear and bright blue sky," the witness stated. "It stood out like a Christmas ball ornament, very surreal. I estimate it was about two miles ahead and about 1,000 feet above my elevation, which was 4,000 feet."

A Texas witness reports three star-like objects in the sky while driving along FM 1119 in Tanyard near the Madison-Leon County line on December 26, 2010, in MUFON Case # 27126. "I kept my eye on them and the two outermost objects appeared to move slightly upwards," the witness stated. "I lost sight of the objects for a few seconds due to trees. When I regained sight of them, the leftmost object was gone. Then, I lost view of the objects once again due to trees and did not see them again when I came to a clear spot. They weren't stars, and I don't know if they were otherworldly objects or someone having fun with flares."

Three Tennessee witnesses watched a bright, hovering object with five white lights while driving east on Route 96 at 6 p.m. on December 27, 2010, in MUFON Case # 27146. "Because it hovered in place without motion, we decided to redirect our van by turning off hwy 96 turning left to point north so we could pull of the road near gentry farm to simply observe it. We observed it for several more minutes then simply 'glided' away to our right moving northeast, without any noticable acceleration. It didn't seem to turn upon moving so it maintained its visual impression upon us until it departed out of our field of vision."
