In the current Command&Control socio-political environment of western thought&values it has been my experience that either one intuitively perceives the existence of other lifeforms to be ubiquitous across the universe or one must endlessly demand proof that will not persuade them in any case. It is akin to explaining the power of sight to someone that was born blind.
