I can see that releasing the pictures could be used as propaganda against the USA. However, it seems that glorifying the action in a movie that makes money, makes people rich, that would seem even more problematic as a matter of propaganda. So, where should the line be drawn? I think the movie will do more harm than the actual pictures, especially if it is true that Bin Laden was given a dignified "Muslim" funeral, as reported, and if it could be shown in pictures.
However, I have to say, I don't generally believe what our gov't tells us so much anymore. Too many times they say one thing, then act totally opposite of what they promised. I would not be shocked at all to learn that Bin Laden is actually alive and well, in US custody.. or as well as can be expected if he is kept in a secret prison.
