but again...what is this fundamental flaw he speaks of? He says it's a remarkable document, but that it represents a fundamental flaw in political thinking....

I wonder if he means the prospect that people should be free from government oppression?

The Constitution was intended to protect the people from government. Now that language has been warped, distorted, abused to allow the return of the very thing those people fought to escape from, and the people of today have been dumbed-down and bought out.

I doubt that he means that. The reason being is due to his socialist stance on a number of things. He more view the Constitution as a negitive document with doesn't give us rights but it takes rights away from the Government. He believe in the so called "Negitive Rights Theory" in regards to the constitution. Which flies right in the face of the main purpose of the constitution which is "Liberty". That "Liberty" is what Obama see's as the "fundamental Flaw" in the constitution.

Ack.. that just makes me cringe... at the thought...

The foundation of our Country is the Constitution. Obama will enivatablly put people on the Supreme court that agree more with his view, which in effect will remove the protections that we are guarenteed (IE: Liberty).

Scarry days ahead if Obama wins and the House and Senate both go to the left as well.

You act as if it was never warped, distorted or abused from it's inception.

I can think of one glaring example off the top of my hand.

Yes, you have a point, and I'm not blind to what you refer to.

So in your anger or whatever it actually is, you would throw out bathwater & baby... but as far as I'm concerned, that is lunacy.

It may not be perfect, but it's the best we got. You're entitled to your opinion, but the enemies of that Constitution are my enemies and I'm not alone in that.

The constitution can be changed, and the framers of it made it that way. Obama's point is pointless.

The only way for USA to secure itīs purpose of justice and peace again is if all the people puts an end to all politics today and starts over.
Destroy Republicans and Democrats and get your brains back before everything gets out of control. Rolling Eyes

Yes. The system can not be fixed. It must be completely destroyed and begun again.

It already IS out of control. People are dumb though, and buy into the BS... They allow themselves to be divided among party lines, get caught up in all the rally cries, and take issue with things their candidate tells them is the issue.

You want evidence that the election and the entire political process is absolute bullshit in this country?

All these politicians play golf with one another, while the American public beat each other over the head, on a daily basis, make personal attacks at one another, because they support this one over that one, and beat up on people who do see it for it is, and tells them.

Yes, the constitution needs to be stricken and redrafted. End of story. The Founding Fathers of the United States of Slavery were not exactly honorable, trustworthy individuals with everyone in mind. Cheers to them for establishing America, but it's time to let them drown in their own errors, hypocrisy, insertanyotherhatefultermhere.

The lack of "economic justice"....the lack of fiscal socialism. This is the 'flaw' he sees.

I feel there is more freedom when people can(be empowered to be) self supporting...that which education and entrepreneurship can evolve....rather that "spread the wealth" (Obama's mantra).

Many had great trepidations for not fully addressing the slavery issue. One of there kind was a "modern" version -Abe Lincoln- you know, the throwback that addressed that slavery problem?

Now... all the rhetorical butt brains need to grow up and get over themselves. What's the use of starting over when the seed your using this time is inferior?
