89% say Palin won, 11% say Biden won! 0% were undecided!

For someone that was so unqualifed, she kicked his Ass!

Really? I didn't think she knew how to answer questions, seemed like she only knew how to talk about energy and afghanistan. I liked when they asked about her achilles heel she talked about how John McCain is a maverick and how they'll be great in office, and about....energy.

actually. depends on which polls you check.

drudgereport gave palin the edge, among their readership obviosly. check the CNN poll. its like 70% for Biden.

Sen. Joe Biden 70% 159037
Gov. Sarah Palin 26% 59088
Neither 4% 8300

That kinda looks like a complete opposite to what you just said.

Also, she didn't really answer a lot of the questions. She answered a few, but dodged most of them. Just shows her complete lack of experience.

Fox viewers typically lean to the right, CNN viewers typically lean to the left, those polls are far from scientific... And no one watches MSNBC... So the reality is that there is still a fairly even divide.

I thought she did better than expected, nothing special though. I am so sick of hearing people spend 3 years bitching about how we need average everyday people to win these offices back, and then in the election everyone bitches about experience... Look at the state of the country with all these experienced scumbags running things. But I'm still not voting for either ticket.

i love how everyone is asking if palin performed better than they expected ,to be fair they asked the same for biden,

but you cant really do that bad if people arnt expecting too much of you ,

binden thrashed her as far as debating goes,

regarding palin,

although the media will always manipulate and edit interviews to put politicians down, palin jumped at the opportunity to use this as a cover or excuse for how inexperienced or dumbed down she might sound in a discussion when reffering to media editing in her debate.

then you have the political guru's who say she talks in laymen terms and sounds like a real ordinary person and that this works well since the everyday voter can relate to her,

again this is somthing her party and the media (not that they care) use as an advantage to cover for the fact that she cant talk like a politician ,as if talking in laymens terms is a tactical move to connect with the people ,

nope i know its because she is just intellectually inexperienced.

she never once defended her stance that the palin/mccain ticket differed from the bush/cheney admin.

she wasnt bad and she wasnt great ,like mccain she is just boring ,the plan for the republican's to choose a lady for vice to grab women voters that clinton may have left behind will probably back fire and now they are stuck with her,

infact the needle during the debate shows women seem to agree with biden over palin ,good one guys you want to grab women voters and you choose a gun carrying tom boy to do it, big mistake

I agree 100% , That is why I think she won the debate last night. She showed once again thast she is not the typical Washington insider. She spoke like an American. She spoke to the American people. While Biden lied about how normal he is. Hanging out at Home Depot, and Gas stations.
Please this guy has never seen the inside of a Home Depot.

She is one of us she will do great things in Washington to stop all this corrupton, and reckless spending. This is exactly what this country needs right now. Even Obamm with his lack of expierience,he is still a Washington insider, and Biden is one of the longest sitting members of the Washington elite.

They need to go, If this economic mess doesn't tell you we need to clean up both parties, and both House ,and Senate then we will never move ahead.

Palin may not have all the talking points,or soundbites that we are used to,but that is why I will vote for this ticket. I think they give us our best hope right now to clean house in Washington.

Robbs right, different networks will attract different viewer and the polls will relflect that. Add them all up and average them all, it really is a matter of choice and opinion of candidates and/or parties.

The bottom line is if she had been the same deer in the headlights as she was with Katie Curic, I would have said she definatly is out of her league. But that didn;t happen, and Joe Biden didn;t slam dunk her either. In fact it was said the Biden actually lied about McCains voting record, which is a fact. I have no doubt both were spending the last week boning up on many subjects and practicing with moch debates.

She didn't choke like with Curic, she didn;t act overly nervous, she held her own. Given the prelude to what people were expecting, or hoping she gave a much better account of herself than other past VP debates. Dan Quale for one. Call it winner or whatever you want to call the winner by votes, the biggest gainer last night was Sarah Palin. She pulled herself out of the bottom of the barrel, where the Curic interviews had her.

Here's my likeness of Palin's debate performance:

"Well that's all fine and nice, but I'd like to go back to the subject of her not answering the questions."

Biden did little better. Composition counts much more than composure.

Palin vs Biden. Style vs Substance.

Cool At least I didn't fall asleep like I did for the McCain/Obama debate.

I think (and so did my wife a life long Democrat and I’m neither a Republican or Democrat as I’ve said before) that Palin conducted herself admirably and is not a paper tiger but someone to recon with.

We were both impressed with her performance. It isn’t who won or lost but who seemed credible…they both were.

In my book, credibility involves answering questions directly. No winner there.

To be technical, neither of them lied, but they both used half truths that are popular with people in politics.

Biden actually answered the questions with substance.

Palin tried too hard to play on the soccer mom/joe six pack bullshit.

It was just more of the same republican trickery and evasiveness about answering people directly.
