Not to be a contrarian or anything but are they sure their brains weren't smaller to start with?
I've always thought that the whole anti-meat campaign was part of some plan to make people dumber. Dumb people are easier to b.s. Meat has been a part of the Human diet for 10's of thousands of years, maybe longer.

My brain is kind of fried tonight at this point so I just read the first paragraph. However I wonder if it's the same for fruitarians. |

Hell, Hitler was a vegetarian too. Is that a reason to become one?
Besides, this post is about vegans, not all vegetarians. Vegans replace too much with soy. Soy is a poison unless its fermented. Now, with Monsanto, we have genetically modified soy. Even for those of us who aren't vegetarians, if we eat any processed foods, chances are that we are eating genetically modified soy.
One of the big name vegans was Linda McCartney, she died of breast cancer, fairly young. That is one of the diseases that soy causes because it acts like estrogen in a human body.
If you're interested, here is an open letter by Sally Fallon to Obama about the ill effects of soy.

| Also in a world that is so focused on eating meat for nutrition, being vegan might be a little harder than being a meat eater since vegan products are not readily available as are animal products. Animal products are not even the best form of nutrition one can get. Recent studies have shown that a diet rich in vegetables and fish (which is not vegetarian, but pescetarian) is an ideal diet. |

Ribeye is one of my favorites. I only buy 100% grass fed beef though. |
