Interesting numbers. Seems like it indicates that different people's belief in ET is based on different rationale. Me personally it does not make sense to have a universe as big as this one, filled with galaxies, stars and planets and have life in only one location. That seems illogical.
I think its hard to get accurate answers in that kind of survey anyway. Many people play it safe or are antagonistic because we've gone so long without an official admission by the establishment. About half of the people don't want to believe anyway ("scaridy cats, scaridy cats").
You would need to poll 10x - 25x that number of people to make it scientific. Still, the numbers are interesting. Need more categories, especially for religion, plus there is more than 2 choices of political ideology (despite the stilted American political scene). |
