Take your time checking this sinister program that kicks in in the 2009.
http://www.codexalimentarius.net/web/index_en.jsp - original site from this Codex Alimentarius commission.
http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/ - organization exposing and fighting against this implementation.
I see serious ramifications if this becomes the procedure. Can you say ˝USING FOOD AS A WEAPON TO DECREES WORLD POPULATION¨???? I hope not. |

The name alone sounds like a disease.
I'll take a look at this. |

I just had a friend mention this to me last week. On the surface, it looks like a way to protect comsumers from unscrupulous manufacurers of "natural supplements." Over the years I've heard the talk about not knowing what is IN all those supplements. What it looks like on deeper study is a door ajar for the pharmas to regulate any food substance that might "have a health benefit" and make those substances only available through the pharma companies. I hadn't even began to look at it as a weapon, but it sounds sickeningly possible...
The friend who was telling me about the Codex takes Vitamin E supplements and ran out while in Europe. I think she said she takes 400 IU/day, but don't quote me on that. She was unable to purchase more than 40 IU capsules without a prescription because they've already instituted the policy there. According to her, things like GARLIC (!!) may be available in the future only through prescription. Sorry, Italians!
I've just started to surf the web looking for more info... |

This has been creeping in for years. I was in an herb shop at the Pike Place Market about 15 years ago. A tourist was taking pictures of the inside of the shop. The owner got mad and asked the guy not to do that. Then he explained about how the government had made earwax candles illegal and were working on making other things illegal too. He didn't want the guy to take a picture of something that might later become illegal.
We can fight this in several ways. One, we write to our representatives. Two, we don't support the drug companies by buying their drugs. Three, we buy food/herbs that are locally grown and organic. Four, we grow our own food and herbs. Five, we learn about local weeds that have healing properties. For example, dandelion root tea is good for the liver. Six, educate ourselves and others.
FDA bans have been overturned. Stevia used to be illegal, but it isn't today. There are some really good people with good intentions focusing on fixing these things. They're fighting the laws that corporations are trying to create.
We the People don't want this crap. As we learn more we change our spending habits which affects corporations. There is good and bad with this. Corporations get into the popular movements and degrade the standards. But, the buy local movement has taken off around the country. |

| Watch them raid your gardens for garlic plants and issue prison sentences over the crop. When America goes bad it goes bad! I wonder how much you have to see before you finally say, "It's too much government control." |
