My name is David and I live in Utah, not far from the Nevada border. I work as a field engineer for a cellular company and have interests in electronics and radio waves. In March of 2005, I was routinely staking out the Area 51 perimeter at night. I had gone there a few times before as I found the place interesting and it was almost always a sure way to see some cool stuff in the sky. This night was different from the rest as I had multiple unidentified objects come very close to my vehicle. I estimate as close as 200 feet. They even interfered with my digital camera but I was thrilled to say the least to have gotten so close. Now I have a big problem. Since my Area 51 adventure, I have developed what the Doctors are saying is an Autoimunne disorder. I feel exhausted all the time and get sick easily. My white blood cell count is always low and the Doctors dont know why. I know you guys are probably thinking, "What an idiot", but I need some advice. Does anyone know anyone I can talk to? Please help. It has been three years now and my health sucks.

David,
You might want to get checked for Lyme Desease and other tick and flea born deseases. If you were out in the brush and were bitten by a tick, they carry many deseases. Lyme desease is much more common that you think. Thye come from deer ticks that become infected from rodents/rats/field mice, than bite you. I and my son both got it in 1989, and I was treated for it for nearly 15 years. Long term antibiotics. There are many symptoms, but the main ones are chronic fatigue, large bone joint pain, artritis pain and sysptoms. 3rd stage can develope nuralogical sysptoms and attack heart cells. If you have it, it takes many months to progress into 2nd and 3rd stage which can be very debilitating. One clue you need to remeber is if you ever developed a skin rash that was unexplained and than went away. This usual occurs in the groin, legs, or armpits, places where ticks crawl, burrow into you and bite. The rash is usually a bullseye pattern and if caught, you can find the bite wound in the center of it. In my case we found one. Lyme desease is no minor thing, its is a tick born, blood desease that can reoccur over and over. OUr Doctor was one of very few who treated it, most HMO's do not believe it exists. Other similar tick deseases are richetzia(spelling) which comes from rabbits and ticks, which could have found in the desert. Rocky Mountian Spotted fever. They all come from tick or flea bites in mountian or desert areas.
If you spent a lot of time in the brush or the nevada desert, unprotected by deats spray, had open pant legs where ticks could crawl up your pants, or in shorts. Just camping can do it. The ticks just hang out on brush or places waiting for a animal or people to brush by, than they drop onto amall animals or jump onto a target that touches them. They know how to find the warm spots on your body from that point.
You will also feel flu like symptoms, along with the other symptoms. If you remember the rash probably within a few weeks of going into the desert, you need to tell your doctor. In early stages, the first 6 months, lyme tests will be negative. Its a very complicated desease, and my doctors tested for the lyme regularly, kept blood samples frozen to compare to next test. You can test in negative levels but still be positive, and it depends alot on your symptoms. You need to find a specialist in this field. Our Doctor retired and our new doctor really doesn;t buy into the diagnosis. |
