Hello,
I just read a artical on Time Slips. I find this subject to be interesting. Perhaps it could be the reason for certian ghostly encounters. It's certianly something to think about.
Taken from the artical...."Time is a funny thing. There never seems to be enough -- yet there is an infinite amount. Time slips through moment upon second into eternity past; yet present, to begin the future.
Time is thought to be unstoppable in its relentless push towards the future. Humans perceive themselves as bound up in time as an insect in amber. Forever imprisoned and forced to reconcile with the regularity and inevitability of change. The past is gone -- the present, fleeting -- and the future is unknown. Or is it?"
The entire artical can be found at

I wasn't sure which forum to post this under, as Time affects everything. But I enjoyed the artical and hope you may find it interesting too.

Good article. I have had some interesting things with time happen to me.
I have ssen things slow down, speed up and even stop.
One night I was out dancing at a nightclub. I was dancing with a guy that aparently had too many drinks in his system. He started to loose his abiblty to dance and walk so I helped him outside to get some fresh air.
He started to complain about how bad his life was and after about 20 minutes of this I couldn't take it anymore. I said something like well my life isn't that great either and it is all an illusion anyway.
At that point everything stopped for a good 10 seconds. I was thinking this is GREAT while he was holding his head saying what is happening!
He wasn't let back into the club becasue he was too drunk and getting abnoxious too.I saw him maybe 8-10 months after that and asked him if he remembered the time stopping episode. He said yes with a blank look on his face so I don't think he remembered anything.
BTW
I do not drink in case anyone thought that was a factor. |

I think the mind plays tricks on people. Ideas can be so vivid they look real, but people see you as you are in the current tme and place. You don't see them. Kind of like Dimentia victims who are always talking to children or their dead parents. They see them vividly in their mind, or they wouldn't talk to them.
My grandmother was sitting in her chair, looked across the room, and yelled "Oh, them are some pretty shoes!" talkking to a little girl that wasn't there. I just interupted her conversation saying "You got some pretty shoes too," She just thenked me for the compliment and went on talking. She couldn't tell reality from her own day dreams, or something like that.
My grandmother was a sane woman until she got dimentia from a heat stroke about 6 years ago. She died last year, but she argued with people that weren't there, talked to people that had been dead for even 40 years.
I believe these people might have had a minor or temporary case of some type of dimentia. I don't know if I believe in time travel, but I also don't know how vivid the hallucinations are for people with it. I don't want to know either situations. I like my era just fine. I wouldn't trust even going back to the 50s. I wonder what happened in the 50s that would call people back to it? Memories you never had coming back on you. If you believe in reincarnation, it might be your last life coming back on you.
I liked the article. It's nice to see some new ones in this category. |

| time never changes, just our perception of it. thats all time really is anyway. ever hear of chronokinisis? using psy energy to slow your perception of time, or speed it up. |

Dont know the facts, just read some really interesting stories that have been backed up by credible facts after the event happened...There must be something solid to it all...portals... |

Could a time slip not only be visual, but a feeling? I get these weird feelings like I am experiencing something from the past. It's not deja vue (sp). It's a very strong feeling that I have not figured out yet.

| It could be that you are picking up the energy of events that have happened. Are you sensitive to energies? I don;t want to sound woo woo but I didn't know what else to call it. |

absolutely not even close to an emotion....it's a full vision ,all the senses are involved...also the reality of the unknown youve found yourself trying to make sense of the situation.. |
