Posted: Sat Sep 29, 2007 2:43 pm Post subject: Opportunity Rover reaches first stop inside Victoria Crater
Itr has been confirmed by NASA that the mars landrover Opportunity has reached its first stop form within the Victoria Crater. Where it will spend the next few hours in what is called the bath tub ring which may have contained water. Opportunity will then spend the next week or so drilling into a rock to take samples before descending further into the Victoria Crater. More information on the following website.
It will be interesting to see what NASA will cover up when Opportunity starts taking pictures of anomalies on the surface inside the crater i.e. pyramids and ancient ruins after it has done what is doing what do you guys think?
