according to the mayan calender world ends on 2012,,i just dont buy it,,its the same old thing like the y2k,,nothings going to happen,,well i may be wrong, have to wait and see... |

They myan calender can be looked at two ways. Some people think it means 2012 is the end of the world and some peolpe think it just meand it is the end of this world. That could mean a new world is going to begin. Our world leaders ( who are full of steamy cow dung) are talking about a new world order. Is there a connection? mabye. The annunaki planet is said by Zacheria Stitchin to come near earth in 2012. Now it has revolved past earth many times in the past never causing golobal destruction.  |

Yeah, well, anyway, I've got a Javascript version of it ticking away on my site.
The site's a bit loopy in some points, I ACT a bit loopy sometimes, but the truth is, I think the Mayans just couldn't envision time going on past the last logical cycle of their calendar.
Even without all the hype, their calendar is quite intriguing, and it's interesting learning how they developed it. Wikipedia is a good starting point for the straight scoop.

| Doesn't it just mean it's the end of a cycle? Not the end of the world, just the end if this cycle. Kind of like going up a ladder you start at the bottom rung and everything looks one way like if there's a bucket 10 feet away it just looks like a bucket. But go up a few more rungs and suddenly you can see that not only is it a bucket, but it's a bucket filled with water. When we move into the next cycle I believe we're supposed to have an evolved understanding of the world around us. Hopefully that means instead of just living in this world, we can live with this world. |

there is a Documentary called as Esoteric Agenda.
I somehow was more convinced with their approach to 2012 thing.
According to them its end of era..... thus end of time.... which doesn't signify that all die or earth is destroyed rather.
In Indian mythology also we have a word called as "Yug". The yug suggests a span of time where things move accordingly. And always in end of a Yug things are in state of chaos. and then an Avatar delivers and ushers beginning of a new time. These avatars are reincarnations of Vishnu who is the lord of sustenance.
The earth in this time still has one avatar left who is expected to come in the end of this Yug. Which by some ends on 2012. But that sure is debatable.
Its little tangent to what was discussed here but just some thoughts |
