THE MOWING-DEVIL: OR, STRANGE NEWS OUT OF HARTFORD-SHIRE. Being a True Relation of a Farmer, who Bargaining with a Poor Mower, about the Cutting down Three Half Acres of Oats: upon the Mower’s asking too much, the Farmer swore That the Devil should Mow it rather than He. And so it fell out, that very Night, the Crop of Oat shew’d as if it had been all of a flame: but next Morning appear’d so neatly mow’d by the Devil or some Infernal Spirit, that no Mortal Man was able to do the like. Also, How the said Oats ly now in the Field, and the Owner has not Power to fetch them away.

I have seen this before...Interesting to find reports dating back hundreds of yrs,,,only to be currently labeled more known as recent phenomena,,,possibly do to mass awareness coming from updated technology in the means to show the eyes of the mass world wide... coinciding with mans step to flight and to observe our landscapes from a new perspective...This may very well have always been...very intricate to ponder...Thanks for finding and posting the original article and illistration  |

Yes, that's fun. Nowadays one is tempted to think of him as Pan.
Who was quite the debbil in his day. But I think at this time, people are free to reinvent their interpretations of the vast and infinite energies that seem to be the ocean in which we are but specks.
Course, they've always been as free as they decided they are to think independently. The downward spiral evident in the power struggles between religions, and its accompanying leverage. |

Hi dejarma,,,
Who on this paticular post stated anything "alien"???
I felt the individual who posted this placed it in a rather open forum,,,and chose to keep his posts in the general area he dwells...
I understand what you are saying and do actually lean towards your belief on this...
I actually haven't taken much time on really looking into this topic just as "cattle mutilations"...haven't really had the drive to do so...
But if this happening was of non-human action...I feel the more spectacular on this would be far from "alien" origin...Mother Earth can sure display the most complicated structures,,,In many ways we are still trying to understand...
Even if it is man made,,,it still calls for great ponder...so many years and built through time and secret...How a mind can plan and make such a thought external for all to see...those desighns would you not agrea,,,are quit fascinating and extremely done well,,, mind and hand  
and for the perfect added finnal touch it is left with wonder and mystery...a statement offering the thought of all not being so black and white...
but if you want to see it asif you are being fooled,,,well than I guess it's just a matter of perspective and how you want to put it in your pocket  |
