BLACKSBURG, Virginia (Reuters) - Police and university authorities faced pressure on Tuesday to explain how a gunman apparently evaded detection after killing two people and then went on to kill 30 others two hours later in America's worst shooting rampage.
The man, whom police have not identified, killed himself in a classroom at Virginia Tech university after opening fire on students and staff during class in an apparently premeditated massacre on Monday morning.

At this point in the investigation I have little to say in matter about the dead suspect or any living captured suspects (such as William Morva http://www.myfoxboston.com/myfox/pages/News/Detail?contentId=2939412&version=1&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=TSTY&pageId=3.3.1.) because I realize many of the accused are just people caught in a net of suspects trying to narrow down possibility.
And I'm not going to even bother with the whole gun debate either on this.
NOPE. Only one thing that stands out is a real bother for me. On every college campus I've ever been on threre was something missing that could have made the death toll of yesterday's tragedy much lower. See the news is talking about a lock down that was ineffective, and it was ineffective because unlike Elementary through High school, Colleges are usually missing a vital campus wide peice of equipment.
they don't have a

Holy **it...
Its sad that this had to happen.
Its ironic that we are trying to make our contry safer by fighting terrorists, but we can't controll our own people. Especially one person, a kid, with two hanguns.
I also agree with the problem with that they have no P.A. system. That among other things made this even worse than it could have been. |
