The fact that being born Gay is only a theory and has not been proven. You would love to believe it is true, but the fact is studies have not proven the theory to date.

Hmm.

Excellent question, and I will try to elaborate as much as possible without sounding like too much of a kook. Keep in mind, I feel people should be free to exercize their selves in any non-harmful (to others) activity they see fit.

I don't think a baby is gay. I think that to be truly "gay" or let us say "homosexual" one must first develop a sense of sexual attraction towards the same sex....which to me, takes a while to fully manifest. In any case, I dont think a baby, or a small child for that matter, is "homosexual".

let me put it this way...

I did not necessarily choose to prefer the color red over the color green, or spaghetti over lasagne, or corvettes over bmw's.....but I certainly wasn't BORN with those preferences....Again I didn't CONSCIOUSLY choose those paths, but on some SUBCONSCIOUS level I did, or rather my subconscious mind did, for whatever reasons...which are beyond me.

I think homosexuality, or at least most variances of it are the same way.

A baby may be born genetically more INCLINED this way or that, but I truly don't believe those actual feelings of homosexuality are decided until a persons subconscious mind feels attracted to this or that...in this case, the opposite or same sex, which SEXUALLY speaking occurs mainly at the onset of puberty or sometime just before or after.

I hear plenty of people say, "no, no I (male) dressed in girls clothing from a VERY early age" or "my child (female) seemed to be much more drawn to females, and then sure enough she grew up and realized she was gay" or whatever the case may be....but I think the parents are confusing a normal sense of attraction with a precursor to sexual attraction which manifests later, which they then retroactively attribute to the earlier behavior they witness in them.

In any case, i no more believe a person should be "cured" of homosexuality than one should be "cured" of liking funny hats, or driving pickup trucks, or liking beagles over poodles....

Do I endorse homosexuality as a "normal" pattern of behavior...not at all, no more so than depression, or "bi-polar" disorder (which i have found many of my homosexual friends end up being diagnosed with curiously).....but at the same time, it is a personal life situation that I don't think is the business of anyone but the people involved....and I would never seek to change anyone if they are happy being who they are.

As a side note, does anyone find it slightly more than co-incidental that when, for instance, a priest (or parent or other figure)is accused of molesting little boys, many times (i have observed) when the "little boys" are all grown up and they call them for an interview on television to talk about it, many of them are apparently homosexual as adults?...i guess i cant prove that, but it seems to be the case....now is this because magically the priest chose little boys who were already homosexuals? Or is it more likely that the molestation did something to their psyche (as it undoubtedly does) which left them more likely to become that later?

That isn't to say molestation causes homosexuality, but that homosexuality is caused by a variety of factors interplaying within the mind of a human being....no one cause ultimately, many in fact.

What about damage to others? It only survives through recruitment and indoctrination.

Would you not try and cure a person from drug use or self mutilation?

What about vampirism?

Your legs are weak in the position of your line. For taking it up the ass for a man from a man does not love make.

I find it comical that you equate drug use and self mutilation to homosexuality....are you serious?

It doesn't survive by indoctrination....there have been homosexuals since the beginning of time I suspect, certainly for thousands of years in any case....are you seriously going to suggest that there is some elaborate conspiracy to make people gay?

And to answer you in part, i really wouldnt want to "cure" someone of using whatever drugs they choose so long as they arent harming others by that drug use....i suppose having a perscription for a drug makes one a legitimate drug user? Nah. I support a persons right to be free from prosecution (or any other bully behavior) just because they do things in the privacy of their own home that arent affecting anyone else but them.

Self-Mutilation? Come on Jaack, that is so out of left field I wont even address it.

Am I annoyed at the level of indoctrination which DOES seem to exist these days? Yes. And curious for them to behave this way and then claim someone is born gay anyway, why push it so hard?

Well I'm certainly not going to deny that there has been, for a few decades now, a big push to use homosexuality as a tool to destroy the stability of the family...that and radical feminism...i see that as a sure thing.

I even think it possible for someone to be convinced they are gay, whether they are or not, and thus live out that lifestyle because its all they know or all they feel they can relate to.

Take the somewhat smallish feminine boy throughout high school being taunted, called "fag", beaten up...to where literally the only crowd he CAN associate with or feel friendship from is the gay community...I know plenty of folks who probably "ended up" gay this way when maybe they may not have truly been in the first place...but thats just my two cents.

Don't drag religion into it.

Organised religions are a big con. - Like marriage has become.

No you are the one introducing sin. But funny you believe killing someone who wants to be killed is wrong.

Oh and why is it that you think I let homersexuals bother me? I'm only bothered by their incessant whinning and bitching about wanting to be treated as "normal" when their bahavior is not normal.

I do not care for ow long there have been homersexuals. There have been criminals just as long, actually murderers far longer.

Not at all my friend...i said killing someone who wants to be killed is a gray matter, implying it was still somewhat questionable legally speaking...now religiously speaking is another ball of wax altogether.

Let me make it clear I don't think a person is "born gay".

if you dont think a person is born gay ,then your not looking at the billion fold facts of human differences..
Some people are born male, some are born female, some are born killers, some are born saints..does it end there ? of course it doesnt..
Some are born happy, some are born shy, some are born tall ,some are born short, some are born with 2 hands some are born with 1..
Some are born blind some are born deaf..some are even born gay ,some are born hetrosexual..But NONE AT ALL EVER are born the exact SAME
Idea

You have traits confused with choices.

Nope. Simply saying it doesn't make it so im sorry. No one on earth comes out of the womb already "gay"....."gay" wouldn't manifest until sometime during puberty or whenever a sexual attraction (understood or subtle) is recognized...and I dont think the subconscious has truly decided until that point....again read back what i wrote, i dont think "gay" is a choice like most people choose which pair of shoes they want to buy, but a SUBconscious choice like preferring spaghetti over pizza.

So, chisel, if all people are born all different ways (and i agree with THAT much of your post), are you willing to concede then that some are not born gay but "become" gay at some point during their lives?

I ilke this thread, it demonstrates how quirky certain issues can be...i can on the one hand totally disagree with jaack, then turn right around and probably sound like i fully agree with him HA
