Farscape? That's a t.v. show. I've heard of it.
Wouldn't it be weird, if for us to travel off-planet, we just put our consciousness into a machine, and then used synthetic bodies onboard? Like the bodies were space suits? |

This may, in fact, BE the only realistic way we ever explore beyond our solar system.
Strieber, at some point (i cant remember its been so long), in one of his books mentions (i believe) opening a drawer in one of the "ships" only to find "gray" bodies stacked like clothing, almost as if they are suits, empty. |

Although Blaine seems to be a sentient train, he is really much more, a "ghost in the machine", the artificial intelligence that resides in Lud's mammoth underground computer systems. Over time, as the world has moved on and the computer system slowly breaks down, Blaine becomes more and more deranged.
The crashed blue mono seen from the Send bridge is revealed to have been named ********, apparently possessed of a separate sub-personality within the Lud computer. The ******** personality lapsed into a depression, and could not stop crying. Blaine "liberated" her by removing certain blocks in her programming, and once freed, she committed suicide, derailing herself in the river. It is a sign of Blaine's cruel personality that he finds this amusing.
Hmm at the request of PNG I will edit out the name which I think is the problem, but if theres another problem with it i'll just erase the whole post....as confused as i am to why it would rub anyone the wrong way...

That post, I'll assume you are unaware of how it might be taken by certain members here. That the reference was unintentional.
You really should remove it. |

For some reason, I often feel relief when ever I find you've posted. Originally, that was not the case, I was disturbed, to say the least.
But now I usually feel a very "down-to-earth" quality to your posts, in some odd way. I can't fathom it, but thanks anyway.
I don't know why I wrote all that, but I tend to go with instinct. |

The recurrent "school" dream that's the most annoying is to be in a strange building (like a ski lodge filled with wooden log walls) in a school of people, only to find myself being singled out as an "outsider"...not conforming, not fitting in with the "schooled group." Having them all turn and look at me as the "class-clown/trouble-maker/one-who-asks-too-many-unanswerable-questions."
Always seem to be running away from someone after discovering the "secret" that isn't quite up-and-up...that it's not honest or trustworthy.
Have had this many times over the years..... |

Wow that reminds me of the one kid from the Village of the Damned who wasn't "quite" in line with the rest and how they would glare at him constantly.
Today I dreamed of the school again...at first it was back to it's original state (it is now old and abandoned and falling apart), I remember thinking (and saying many times) "why are we back here" "how could they have rebuilt all this in such a short time?" "they closed it down because there was asbestos everywhere"....and everyone just laughing in a dismissive sort of way.
There are always these snack machines, ever time i dream of this school, which have odd things in them like "big" things, like giant bags of chips as opposed to the smaller ones....frozen ice cream...items like sunglasses, knick knacks, gadgets, etc...like a universal "machine".
Anyway I dreamed at some point a fellow came through the doors and "took over" held us hostage...this was a guy I went to school with (i have no IDEA why i would dream of him), he had camoflauge pants on, and after i woke up i remembered this dude did fight in the iraq war hmm...anyway his goal was to spray us all with (what i understood to be) asbestos and change us into these creatures...he was quite mad.
He selected me and took me under his wing to train me to do something that involved swimming in polluted water. |

most grand ideas, in my opinion, hinge on the destruction of anothers grand idea, which tend to result in corpses (grand, i use tongue in cheek of course)
I didn't mean to post anything that would rub anyone the wrong way, i just have a fascination with blaine the train and it's metaphorical connection to programmed indivduals, eye guess... |
