he taught constitutional law for 12 years..
was state representative, and national rep, and can talk,
sounds literate,
doesn't pretend to dumb down, or smarten up,
his wife doesn't wear 300,000 dollar dresses.
knows how many houses he has..
color of his skin doesn't scare me..
sounds conservative enough and liberal enough to balance.
after eight years of a 'common man of god", who was neither, i don't need more of the same..
if i wan't a maverick(s), i would have gone with Bret and Bart. |

Of course he is. Smarter than both combined, I'd wager.
The fumbling fuddy-duddy fall guy pales in comparison to the invigorating young blood, full of vitality & fresh new ideas. |

He's a good liar, and great at deflecting questions about who he really is. If that isn't presidential material, I don't know what is.
His answers to questions about Ayers, Rezko, Wright, ACORN, and Farrakhan are the greatest answers ever uttered from a president or presidential candidate since Reagan's "I don't recall", Nixon's "I'm not a crook", Clinton's "I did not have sexual relations with that woman", and HW's "Read my lips, no new taxes". I'd add W's statements regarding Iraq having WMD, but they weren't uttered in response to questions. |

Obama is either all these good things or is what the fear is about the things Robb is talking about. If thats the case--God help this country.
John McCain isn;t young, and he has many physical impairments that make him look less attractive than a guy Obama's age. I call that a little of age discrimination, and what made me sick to my stomack the last few years of work. Old Management with years of expericence were all gone and a new rechime of the 40 something crowd was in on the top level management. Same kind of "Image" of having to look good, and that age or physical problems were a sign of inability. When you get older you will have a different perspective on it, that age equates to expendabilty and the younger set, has no bones about ushering out who doesn;t fit their acceptabilty mold. Thats Obama, and thats McCain, the image of the younger set taking control and the older set being expendable. I think our history will come to regret that, and the country like all these companies, are discriminating against age. If you don;t believe it, and you work for a big company, take a good look at the age groups of middle and upper management, and where the older set is in both blue and white collar positions. |

Oh, when I'm pointing out the shady issues surrounding the OTHER guy, that's when all my facts are right on... But every time I do the same thing to YOUR guy, I'm suddenly an idiot who doesn't have his facts straight, everything I post is suddenly nonsense, I act like an expert on all things, and I'm looking down my nose at you and your pick for president. Right?
Amazing. |

Yeah, you have... And yet you refuse to acknowledge questions about McCain having 19 Fannie and Freddie lobbyists working for and with his campaign, or McCain's history of siding with very liberal senators on issues most Americans are against, for even 1 second, let alone months. Wait, I got it, those are the good Fannie and Freddie lobbyists, they were the fringe rogue group of Fannie and Freddie lobbyists who were fighting to keep the company, who was paying them handsomely, from getting sweet deal bills passed and more deregulation.
I wonder how many Senate Republicans, in 1999, voted for the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, that effectively destroyed the regulations imposed by the Glass-Steagall Act of 1933, which was authored by Republican senator Phil Gramm, that everyone blames Clinton for signing it, helping to cause the mortgage and credit problems of today... I believe it was a 52-1 approval from Senate Republicans, and John Sidney McCain was one of those Republicans who voted in favor of the act.
How bout some "Fair and Balanced" questioning?
I bet your well thought out reply won't even address any of that again... But you will talk about swollen heads, bed pans, etc.
