I’ve had a thought: dinosaurs dominated this planet for millions of years. If the freak comet did not wipe them out could it be possible that their tech & appearance would be similar to the greys allegedly encountered today? Maybe reptile domination is the normal evolutionary path for all planets & it’s a trillion to one chance freak of nature that has made us mammals the dominant race? Hence all the alleged visitations & interest in this planet ……..
Peace.

What if one specie evolved into higher intelligence back then and even got to the space flight age.
They might look similar to the greys and master space today alot more than we ever will in the next 500 years.
Maybe the dinosaurs are the ones revisiting this planet to see claim and take this planet once more.

Um... maybe like the members of Rush? They're dinosaurs of Rock, aren't they?
Been following Paleontology lately? Rumor has it the dinos are still with us, in bird form. Should Man survive and evolve for the next 73 million years, what will we be like?

Dinosaurs dominate when the climate's warmer than it is at the moment.
If the atmosphere fills up with (currently frozen) methane again and warms up, then the dinosaur style of animal will be better adapted again.
Also dinosaurs might have survived if they had some way of living deep underground where it's warmer. |

| I once read a short story by Barry B. Longyear, about the return of highly advanced intelligent Dinosaurs, who left the earth however many years ago, but promised they would return to claim their planet and so on and so forth...a good read. |
