LONDON (May 13) - Aliens from outer space have been visiting Britain for years and UFO sightings doubled after the film Close Encounters was released in 1977, according to secret files collating reports by members of the public.
The alien craft come in all shapes, sizes and colors but their occupants are uniformly green, the Ministry of Defence files show.
The archives are the first batch of a four-year release programme of all the ministry's UFO files from 1978 to the present day.
The ministry dismisses 90 percent of the reports as having mundane explanations and leave 10 percent with a question mark and the assurance they are no defence threat.
A 1983 report from a 78-year-old out fishing at midnight tells of following aliens in green overalls on to a spaceship and then being told to go away because he was too old and decrepit for their purposes.
Two years later, a typewritten letter to the ministry tells of an alien spaceship being shot down in the river Mersey in northern England by another spacecraft and of the author developing a warm friendship with an alien called Algar.
Just as Algar was about to reveal himself to the government he was killed by other aliens, the author of the letter writes. He was still in telepathic contact with an alien called Malcben from the planet Platone in the Milky Way, the author added.

It would be great if true and full disclosure would happen. Even though this article is interesting and it appears that more information is being disclosed I wonder if this is the case?
We (the public) have been manipulated and lied to for so long that even if the truth slaps us in the face will we ever know for sure.
Just my 2 cents. |

Even if the UK did aknowledge the existence of aliens, donīt you all think itīs a little bit too easy...?
I mean...they have been hiding this secret for almost 70 years now and probably killed some people for their knowledge about this sort of matter so that the public wonīt know and now they would just reveal it just like that?
If itīs true then all of you who have been searching for evidence about aliens what is your next goal?
I mean whatīs left to believe when you already found your answers?
I bet most of you will turn to a religion or something once you get past this because this isnīt really about finding aliens itīs about finding yourselves and thatīs why I`m so pissed of at almost everyone because almost everyone is weak and always need something to look up to and sadly enough they fall into the hands of those who would take advantage of you all like that pathetic pope.
I sure hope that when the truth is known to any of you that you hold your knowledge for yourself because thatīs the only evidence youīll ever need. |

You have strong opinions there Saturos. I used to be very into the extraterrestrial subject; getting every book I see about UFOs and alien abductions, searching every website imaginable, etc. Until one day I just lost that fervor and turned my attention to politics and global issues (if you see my posts you'll know) |

But I'm still tantalized by the issue because I think if we would ever find out the existence of extraterrestrials or they make their presence known it would surely change our perspective from a local to global or even universal one. Perhaps we are Cosmic Brothers and Sisters  |

The release of these files means absolutely nothing IMO! They are not "Disclosing" anything  they are just releasing stories that have been produced to them! The vast majority of the stories in these files I & many others already know about via the media. We already know they file reports on sightings (Well assume I should say  ) but have never seen them until now. Wow, big deal, so what I cant understand why many feel this is the best thing thats happened regarding this phenomenon |

What if just one of the documents conclusions read something like:
This reported sighting is of a z-x-x-p mark6 type saucer used by the zimpleb-plumb race of alien beings we have been doing business with for 70yrs
Because of this wonderful new tech they make available to us we over look the seemingly pointless fetish they have for abducting & torturing humans. But this aside they are caring/ placid/ nice/ soulfully enlightened & very understanding individuals

Hello,
Great news! The more documentation the public gets on this subject, the better!
Even if they are "just storys" as Dejarma said, { and Dejarma has a good point}. One of the things which mark this phenomena are the storys, the storys of many eye-witnesses which collaborate each other.
I believe the storys are part of the evidence that something is going on. When this experience happens to so many people, it tells me "something" is being seen in our sky's. And something is happening to the abductees.
I say anything which may help to bring this experience into the light, and let us know whats really going on is a good thing. { I'd love to know }

| yeh.. im from the uk and to the best of my knowlegde all that happened was the goverment released all the files on ufo sightings, because of the freedom of information act? i dont think anyone actually admitted to aliens, certainly no-one of power, yes the media covered the ufo files being released but dont you think they would have included it in their news report if someone high up had said there were aliens? |
