Every so often I get this feeling that reminds me of something in my past, but I cannot figure out what this thing is. Sometimes it is very strong. I can't figure out what triggers the feeling. It is not deja vue (sp?)
I also have this faint memory of visiting an old house in the woods where I grew up, but I cannot be for sure this ever happened.

| ya know, I get the same memory flashbacks all the time. Alot remind me of what you are experiencing. If I think about it for a while I can usually get the full memory, sometimes though its a memory of a dream. Have you thought about that? |

Are you depressed? Many of things can lead to strong feelings such as this. mabye a smell. the weather, a dramatic event happen when you think of this past of yours? |

There is a perfectly logical explanation. Logical according to me, the most not logical of them all.
Yesterday I got out of my car, and it smelled exactly like my cafeteria in third grade smelled. There have been scents that brings back past memories like an old house I lived in, or somewhere I have been. They are just reminders of where you've been, and how far you come.
Now, the creepy feelings mean bad omens. When fear strikes your heart, it's then that you know you shouldn't do it. (unless you know you're gonna get away with it.) lol. |

I have not found out what triggers this feeling. I should keep a journal. I will keep you updated. I had the feeling just the other day.

This happens to me all the time. A scent, a sound, seemingly walking a path I've never been down but I know I've seen it before. Most recently it ocurred at work. I was walking in the backroom heading to the other side of the store because I had been called by management. It hit me as I made the corner and was approaching the HR office. I was hit by a scent and the fact that several people were in just the positions I remembered seeing them.
It was as if events were falling into place like a puzzle and I began to recognise this scenario as a bad omen. Something bad was going to happen, some kind of confrontation. My heart actually started racing as I tried to recall who this conflict was going to ocurr with. Turns out it was my supervisor and not the manager that had called for me. Time seemed to slow down and slowly merge with the "alternate" reality I had seen, in my dream, vision state, whatever you want to call it.
As I walked towards the HR office, I saw myself stop and poke my head in. My supervisor then confronted me and an argument ocurred. As this ocurred, I knew I had to keep walking and I did. She was in fact in the office, I saw her in my peripheral vision as I walked by and quickened my pace. I've experienced this all of my life, several members of my family have as well.
The coming Fall and Winter seasons are when I experience these events the strongest. It's also an emotional rollercoaster for me. Is it "seasonal depression", a sensitivity to something? If so, sensitivity to what exactly? I pondered making a thread about this but am uncertain of where it belongs. |
