You're in the wilderness. You left your camera at home. The only thing you're carrying is a rifle. Bigfoot strolls by. Would you shoot it?
Yes, I'd shoot to kill.

It's a bad thing shooting bigfoot, cause you might be shooting at an alien.

Of course I'd shoot it. Why else would I be walking around in the wilderness with a gun? I'm out to kill things. I'd field dress it, drag it home, and carve up some steaks. Smile

Some people would argue that killing Bigfoot would constitute murder.
If a person shoots to kill, should they be held accountable?

Yes, they should. I believe everyone should be hold accountable for shooting a higher primate, or dolphin like species, or anything that has a certain degree of intelligence. They should be considert a person by the law. And therefore killing one of these creatures should be murder by law.

There's nothing quite as good as a bigfoot burger smothered in yeti sauce.

But Bigfoot doesn't vote. He doesn't pay taxes. He doesn't have a job. He's an animal, with lots of matted fur instead of hair. So, its not murder, its just hunting, right? Can't I eat Bigfoot if I shoot him?

I definitely wouldn't kill it. I'd consider it murder. Bigfoot has a playful nature. It's notorious for throwing little rocks at people; taunting and teasing them. It's all in fun, of course. There's definitely a sign of higher intelligence happening in a bigfoot's brain.

if someone proves that bigfoot exists by shooting one then they will become less interesting and I will have nothing to do all summer.

Homeless people don't vote, pay taxes, or have jobs and often appear to have matted hair. Should we be killing them too? Razz

But homeless people are cute and playful and toss pebbles at you when you walk past them. I wouldn't want to kill them. Laughing

Laughing Well if you ever do shoot a homeless person, then I wouldn't recommend eating them either.

Laughing Well, America doesn't have homeless person hunting permits anyway. One day, they will probably have a season and licenses for Sasquatch hunting, though. I think that Nepal is issuing hunting licenses for the Yeti. Its only a matter of time for the US. Smile
