After reading the documents that john posted, I went on a bit of a foia spree looking for responsive documents a few months back. I found a topic guide at the Reagan Presidential Library that seemed misfiled (I can only assume they meant George Keysworth II, reagan's science adviser on Stargate, among other carp)

I followed up with a foia through muckrock but since they're presidential records they want over a hundred dollars to digitize, which as much as I want to know, I haven't got to spend on my foia hobby.

That being said, anyone else interested on why something which was labelled "Bogus" and which doesn't usually have any records responsive to FOIA has 167 pages tucked away in Cali?https://cdn.muckrock.com/outbound_attachments/JLaw/44481/IMG_0812.PNG

Who do we need to contact to get a hold of those documents? Do you remember what the original cost of the documents were?

That would be

Shelly Williams
Reagan Library
Archivist/FOIA Coordinator
phone: 805-577-4012
email: shelly.williams@nara.gov

Last communication I got from them was in response to my FOIA. You can read it all here:

https://www.muckrock.com/foi/united-states-of-america-10/operation-majestic-12-mj-12-document-case-number-f94-043-44481/

The total amount they requested to digitize was 157.30 as you can see at the top of the screen. I had initially started a crowdfund campaign thru muckrock too since they just let you do that, but didn't really try to advertise it at all. Obvs I'm not about the money, I'm about he alien secrets.

What are you referring to? I mean, what "new" MJ-12 docs?

Sincerely,

So, I originally found the topic guide through NARA's search engine at archive.gov. It's in the Reagan presidential library at https://www.reaganlibrary.gov/sites/default/files/archives/textual/topics/operamaj.pdf

I assume they're "new" majestic docs because Keysworth is never mentioned in the original "BOGUS" documents from the 80s, or in the "NEW" ones MITD released last year that you debunked, and in both cases, the original was only 22 pages long and the new one 24, so unless the original hoax crossed his desk, i don't see why there would be over a hundred pages of documents there, when what i've read of the original FBI investigation only amounts to a few pages.

Yes, I requested those in 2013, and was told they had all been released. I am close to the Reagan Library, I just never made it over to make copies. To be honest, I did not think there would be much in them, and I believe they've already been released, so I did not head over there.

Here was the response I got from them in 2013:
----
Dear John,

The materials you have requested have already been processed in response to a previous FOIA Request. All documents related to your topics are open for research. Unfortunately, we are restricted in providing documents for no charge. You can find the NARA Regulations for this here: http://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/te......36.0.35.7. The following two links are to the FOIA Topic Guides that list everything that was processed and opened for the previous FOIA Requests for UFO's and Operation Majestic.

http://www.reagan.utexas.edu/a.....ndufos.htm

http://www.reagan.utexas.edu/a.....eramaj.htm

If you would like copies of the materials we can provide them at the cost of $.80 a page. Also if that is not a feasible option, I see you are local. You are more than welcome to come to the library and do research on these materials. We allow researchers to bring in flatbed scanners (no wand scanners or printer scanner combos) to obtain document images. You can also utilize personal digital camera or you can use our photocopiers in the research room. Self made copies using our photocopiers are $.25 a page. If this sounds like a option for you, the research room is open Monday - Friday from 9am-5pm, except for Federal Holidays. As such, we will be closed this Monday in observance of Labor Day.

I hope this helps.

Best Regards,

Kary Charlebois
Archivist

Sincerely,

John Greenewald, Jr.

Which seems like a great FOIA response, except that both those links 404 now (or at least do for me?). Got copies of those documents anywhere else? I went through theblackvault.com/documents and don't see anything that looks like them, but you've got like 2miliion documents and I am just searching by hand.

Also, if they really did even search for them and release them, how come on the version of the topic guide I have it says the box hasn't been opened since 1994? Wouldn't it read 2013 given I found them last year and in theory you found them five yearss ago?

Hell, if it's any kinda convenient for you to go and open the boxes, I'd sure appreciate finally having my curiosity settled. I would but I'm on entirely the wrong side of the country

Having come up in a FOIA request, vs. opened physically by an archivist are two wildly different things to a Presidential archive. Yes, you've renewed my interest to try and plan a trip over there, however, I believe it was Grant Cameron who has already obtained these documents (I could be wrong on that, I looked up his site, but it seems to be down?) and I do not believe there is anything of interest in there.

Also, I am traveling currently, but will look up the finding aids when I get home. I only had those, not the documents themselves.

Sincerely,

John Greenewald, Jr.
