"In October, 1981, USAF Airman Simone Mendez, (stationed at Nellis AFB as a
Wing/Base Telecommunications Specialist with the 2069th Communication
Squadron with a Top Secret clearance), received from a friend (Airman Green -
pseudonym) "a Top Secret message torn off the machine at the message center
to the effect that the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) had
detected a group of unknown objects entering the vicinity of Earth from deep
space. Several of the objects were tracked entering the atmosphere and
heading towards the Soviet Union, after which they hovered in an area near
Moscow for more than an hour."

For unsatisfactory yet understandable reasons she kept the "third carbon copy
of a multi-carbon form" for several months. When she learned that it might
be a fake she showed it to another co-worker who felt it probably was a fake.
Simone then returned the document to base and a supervisor "asked that the
document be placed in the classified waste for disposal."

Several days later AFOSI and the FBI interrogated her at length following
which she was hospitalized for "serious depression." The FBI searched her
apartment and confiscated many personal items. Several weeks later she was
interrogated again and polygraphed. She failed the polygraph for
physiological response reasons, (extreme nervousness), and was polygraphed at
least several more times over several months. She made a poor attempt at
suicide on April 22, 1982 and was again hospitalized. Interrogations and
polygraphing continued into June 1982 at which time it was apparently
concluded that she was not a spy."

REF :
June 1991 (Number 28) issue of Just Cause. Citizens Against UFO Secrecy

Her clearance was a TOP SECRET/CRYPTON/NATO at the time. She stated the "fear of god" was put into us not to sit there and read the teletype text, but one time she saw "UFOB" in the text. Further the unauthorised possession of the document had TS/ For/ Official/Eyes Only stamped top and bottom. This teletype reported about how a group of "objects" same in from "deep space" and "outside the solar system" and then entered an orbit in earth's atmosphere traveling at speeds between mach 16 to 26. Three broke off from the "cluster" and went into the Soviet Union, and hovered there for approximately an hour. An AWACS tracked them as far as the planes could go.

The best most recent source that does my case the best justice, is in this book called The Greys Have Been Framed. By a skeptical UFO researcher and blogger named Jack Brewer.   I get nothing for this book, except my incident told as a book chapter. I am not friends with the Author. I am Chapter 12 in there, entitled, Airman Mendez And The Mirage Men. Page 185.
Jack's extremely interesting blogsite is The UFO Trail. http://ufotrail.blogspot.com/
When I was keeping the carbon printout, a relationship between the providing fellow Airman and his live-in significant other, apparently went horrendously afoul. She had a talk with onbase investigators. She appeared to me and informed me as much, and all had figured that the ufo document is with me and that she will then accompany me up to my workcenter where I will present it to a shift supervisor in there. I am extremely frustrated that the me of 25_+ years ago, did not make this clear. It's a confluence of personal reasons. I was closer in time to the stressful incident. I was under personal stress and in survival mode at that time. The 1990's and the end of the 1980's-into the early-1990's. A Ufologist who published my case in depth in his paper snail mail ufo news letter, wrote things a certain way in his own way, and the me of that time wanted to sound like that, to make happy said Ufologist. Chronic stress shrinks the prefrontal cortex, responsible for memory and learning. Luckily, my past experiences are backed up with some, and not scant, documentation. (Detailed in Jack's book, for one.)
Convicted spy Christopher Boyce, who worked in these cryptographic communication centers, one for TRW, testified, which is put on the C.I.A.'s website, about lax security. It was somewhat surreal to me that both this and the paranoia about severe security, is what I had percieved. https://www.cia.gov/library/readingroom/document/cia-rdp90-00965r000302390019-8
In regards to the polygraphing: Many years later, in the mid 2000's, I learned (more accurately, finally realized) in a hospital that I am Autistic. It was evident my whole life, to me and others, but -- minus -- anyone and myself, knowing it's name. Because recognition of how women present, is somewhat recent, we would be subject to slipping through the cracks, misdiagnosis, misunderstanding, and fighting to mask so that we could do things like keep jobs or try and have relationships go into the service. It was innerly highly stressful. For me, constantly so.
Today I firmly believe that I was problematic on the polygraph, even no matter who was conducting the session, due to my sensory processing disorder condition.
I like this one guy's perspective on LinkedIn.
In regards to "from deep space outside the solar system"
The Cheyenne Mountain Complex has "buried deep within", the Space Control Center. SCC.
https://celestrak.com/columns/v04n01/ "It relies on the , Space Surveillance Network, SSN, as it's eyes and ears."
" The Space Surveillance Network has numerous sensors that provide data. They are separated in three categories: dedicated sensors, collateral sensors and auxiliary sensors. Both the dedicated and collateral sensors are operated by the USSPACECOM, but while the former have a primary objective to acquire SSN data, the latter obtain SSN data as a secondary objective. The auxiliary sensors are not operated by the USSPACECOM and usually perform space surveillance collaterally. Additionally sensors are classified as Near-Earth (NE) tracking - observing satellites, space debris and other objects in lower orbits, or Deep Space (DS) - generally for asteroids and
Interesting to me, it says, "or Deep Space (DS) generally for asteroids and comets."
Otherwise, I saw on the search engine, that deep space is the space just "outside the solar system".
I had worked pertaining to the KH-11. It is interesting to me, that one was launched shortly before I recieved the ufo doc.
The NRO's digital imaging reconnaissance spacecraft, which this article calls a "KH-11 type" and secret "for 36 years", the mirrors are far more advanced than Hubble telescope's, and a couple of nro telescopes were manufactured and given to NASA to define dark energy. I found it interesting that the article made sure to have NASA say "to look up instead of down". Because why would the alphabet agencies want to be looking up and out, and I put that a little bit sarcastically, but thats just me.
That weird 'classification': For Official Eyes Only which I had never saw or heard of before; made me curious to go and research the unquestionably real FOUO, For Official Use Only. So interesting to me, that, this means exempt from mandatory Freedom Of Information Act. For whatever that worth. Maybe not much.https://fas.org/sgp/news/2000/04/fouo.html
