Relating high rating of the USA in the civilized world I’ve got some doubts. Recent news is that capital punishment in this country is actually happening by that barbarian electric chair rather than lethal injection. Looks wild indeed amid other countries’ huge effort to abolish capital punishment at all!
I’m not kidding actually. D’you in the know that recently lethal injections have been rare occurrence indeed! They assert that’s due to shortage of vital component of thiopentalum natrium. Now look, that exactly component has been also part of interrogations using some taboo methods in CIA secret prisons!! Now grab the scale!! Smth has evidently gone totally wrong with our bosses in CIA. It appears the guys are going on with those interrogations and those prisons for I’m in possession of some vital info. In next 5 years to come there will be no lethal injections to exercise death penalties in USA!!
Sick of Obama’s lies! And You? He promised to make those disgusting prisons belong to the past. Still they are our present and our future!
Btw Obama is said to be crazy about saving electricity in the USA. Are they going to employ guillotine in this country instead of electric chair?!

Becasue you have your first post, welcome to the Blackvault. I don't think you have your facts too straight about the electric chair or means of execution. You probably do not know that each state controls if they have the death penalty, its not a country wide policy its by state. Federal laws do have the death penalty. With one exception I think Utah gives the condemned a choice of injection or the firing squad. The gas chambers are no longer used, nor are electic chairs. The death penalty in the USA always has special circumstances, and the fate is decided by a jury in case you were not aware.

How about giving a little report to the scumbags on death row, what some of them have done to get there.

Huh...research in progress, unlike the last post I made, which I didn't research first (shame on me!). That one was about the soldiers who apparently were getting stoned and killing Afghans (the people, not the bedding). Back on topic:

Texas leads the US in executions, and they use lethal injection. Source: Texas Department of Criminal Justice web site. Florida also uses lethal injection because the electric chair kept frying prisoners in the wrong way. Source: Florida Department of Law Enforcement web site. Two down, only "fifty-seven to go" (just check with Barack, 'kay?)

Interesting notes: 1, only 38 out of our 50 states execute prisoners. 2, three still allow hanging. 3, the leader in executions (Texas) has the lowest percentage of death sentences for murder. You might say they don't beat around the bush (yes, it's a pun). 4, one prisoner was executed by firing squad this year in Utah. 5, another prisoner was executed by electrocution in Virginia. 6, the last hanging was in 1996 (Delaware), while the last gas execution was in 1999 (Arizona). Source: No good one, it's Wikipedia, requires more verification.

G2, this is an interesting subject, and definitely controversial. Might I suggest it be moved to a more appropriate forum, such as General?
