And their leader Lukashenko dares announcing it aloud. He told openly that Belarus has got hundreds of kilograms of enriched uranium. "We are not some banana republic... We don’t accept bribes and we are not going selling this [nuclear] material for all the tea in China. We are not going making "dirty bombs". – Says President of Belarus. In spite meaning of this phrase, it sounds like hidden threat.
Of course Belarus isn’t banana republic. IMHO there is more freedom of people and common sense of the leader in any banana republic than in this potato state. It is well-known that Belarus officials’ venality has become the talk of the town. They swipe everything they could get to. So this notorious uranium might become successful acquisition of some group of terrorists. And those shady hints about "dirty bombs" are quite nasty. As if Lukashenko says: "Give us money for abolition of this uranium or we’ll sell it for those who know everything about making those bombs." How do you like that?
I bet soon enough that Belarus enriched uranium would be in every second "dirty bomb" while Lukashenko would assure USA that all nuclear raw stuff has been annihilated pocketing US money.
