Sorry thats our fault. We changed the text in the readme file in the last second and I forgot to reread it. It should say "Open setting again and click on "Select area of detection"."
First you have to make sure that all the settings like the selected camera and the resolution are correct. I think you have that already. Then you have to select your area of detection in the settings by clicking the button. After the area was selected you are ready to start detecting.

I will look in to the problem with ÄÖÜ. Thank you

Great idea, congrats!
What do you think of a version for the RASPBERRY PI, it is very popular, cheap, got two matching camera modules (one for infrared/night vision) and can be housed and dedicated just for this job.
I am not the right one to write a program like this, but I think a lot of raspberry users would like to give their little computer a task like this.

If there are mistakes...sorry. I am not a native speaker, I am German

Hello fiero128,

You can simply email the photos if you'd like. I can put them on The Black Vault's case file database. You can email them to reportaufo@theblackvault.com

Please remember to include the:

Hello John and All,

I've been researching UFO detectors for about a week now. All the old gizmos from the 1950's up to the present. Imagine how shocked I was to run across this just today after being down the detector rabbit hole for as long as I was. One would think this would have been plastered all over the web and on every UFO Forum in existence. Nope. Anyway it's the reason I'm here; I want to learn everything this program can do and how best to set it up. I think it's pretty exciting and has to be the best thing to come down the pipe in decades if not ever.

Hope to grab a cam soon and get going!SmileCool
