Hmm haven't heard it causes depression, although I could see why it might.
Might have a feel good effect on peoples imagination.
I'm going to see it in the Imax theatre can't wait. 🙂

astonishment. “I never heard of such a thing!”

Here's the first article that came up when I googled on the topic.
http://www.cnn.com/2010/SHOWBI.....index.html

I've seen a bunch of links on FB, but hadn't actually read any articles yet, and I guess I'm not the only one.

I left somewhat depressed that we're still banging out the same predictable story lines.

humphreys thats more of a healthy depression. lol

mrshumphreys, thanks for the link. Read the article. Sounds realistic. People want more out of life. Nothing wrong with that. Although I'm someone that will watch it, and think, ahhh I can always watch it over and over and over again if need be. lol

Pocahontas with blue people and the same lousy message that District 9 had.

War is an extension of economics and diplomacy through other means.

Economics and diplomacy are methods of securing resources used by humans.

Securing resources is the one necessary behavior for all living things.

War = Life

Well nevertheless it was a good movie.

Beautiful and so on.
But yes, nothing really is new.
And I could say that about all other movies out there aswell...
