PI and the case for Zero Point Energy.

I'm sure everyone knows that if you draw a circle whose diameter is 1, its circumference is PI. If we apply this to sub-atomic particles... Take the diameter all the way down to the Planck Length, the smallest distance in the universe (although some interpretations say 2 times Planck Length). Now you have a circle that is the smallest possible size. If you now apply that to a fundamental particle as defined by Superstring theory, you have a string that is rotating and is at absolute minimum energy. In rotation each point on the circle can only be reached once, since you cannot move a transcendental distance, nor can you move a whole multiple of a transcendental distance, which would also be transcendental. So how long before all the locations on the circle, which can be reached only once, are exhausted? And what happens next? Once all the locations have been exhausted it is physically impossible for the system to remain at the current energy level. And the circle cannot get any smaller. So the circle must get larger, but to do that it must GAIN energy. But where does the energy come from? Answer: It must borrow it from the universe. Therefore this is a poor man's proof for the concept of zero point energy. When you are at minimum energy you can only stay there so long and then you MUST gain energy, or cease to exist. Could this play into what happens at the center of a black hole?

Can we make use of this borrowing of energy from the universe? Or is this just a load of bunk?

Sounds to me like a load of bunk.

"George Bush says he speaks to god every day, and christians love him for it. If George Bush said he spoke to god through his hair dryer, they would think he was mad. I fail to see how the addition of a hair dryer makes it any more absurd."

Zero Point Energy isn't bunk, but harnessing it requires exotic matter with properties we have yet to discover.

So in other words is basically science fiction.

Untill further...technological developments...of some sort...if we ever get there...

If it's even possible.

But currently it's not, so it's science fiction.

In 1968 Captain Kirk's communicator was science fiction. Today, almost everybody has one.

In the future, we will all be Gods!

Although doesn´t matter since all of us today would be dead 100000000000million years ago...

Truth doesn´t control you, you control it...

Its not exactly science fiction because lab test confirm its existence its just untappable for the time being. Its kinda like neutrinos, we know they exist but confirming it took decades but we have way of utilizing them either.

But, my description was merely a proof of concept, not how to make use of the idea. That could happen at a much higher level than the Planck size world. This theory actually plays into another theory I have about mitigating apparent mass using magnetic fields. The problem is generating a magnetic field big enough without needing a generator the size of an aircraft carrier. If you can borrow energy from the universe then you need a much smaller power source. Remember that gravity only works on you because it see's you. And it only see's you because of your apparent mass, relative to other masses (like the earth). If you decrease your apparent mass then gravity will see less of you.

Superstring theory gives us a framework of ideas that could lead to our understanding of how mass couples you to the Higgs field (which creates what we call gravity). Remove that coupling, remove the gravitational force. Its so cool. If you've seen the science shows on tv where they show the fabric of space and how gravity distorts it. They always make the mistake of looking at it in too few dimensions which makes it look like a cone. That is incorrect. It is not a cone. Its a shape which we don't have a name for yet. To try and visualize it: think of a hot pot belly stove in the middle of your summer camp bunkhouse. The closer you get, the hotter you get. The further away, the cooler you get. Replace temperature with the density of space (the Higgs field).

Close to a mass the Higgs field is dense. Far away and the density is lower. Your mass is nothing but the coupling of the strings in the sub-atomic particles of your body to the Higgs field. And this coupling is what distorts the fabric of space. The Higgs field itself may be made of strings which vibrate at certain frequencies. The strings in your body vibrate at a complementary frequency (actually its more than just frequency - phase shift, amplitude, dimension, all play into it).

When we learn how to manipulate the strings we can play any tune we want. For example, we can travel without using time. We can travel faster than light without violating relativity.
