It's been okay. My son loves the show saw we watch it around here.
That and Deadliest Catch, Swamp People, Axemen. Swamp people has been pretty good.
I have noticed , like you have that more and more obviously contrived drama is going on with all the shows.

Lately I have ben into Anthony Bourdains, "No Reservations" show. On the travel channel, I didn't watch it so much when it was on, but am now into all the old repeats.

Willie Wonka quotes..
What is this Wonka, some kind of funhouse?
Why? Are you having fun?
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.

Hate to break down on these back roads, could be a real bummer. How can you turn around on most of those roads?

This season just ended last night, I am not so sure you will see another. Pretty obvious all the competition between companies was all pretty scripted and made up. Last 2 that were not on the Dalton, were just more of the same things. Love the characters, hope they come back, we will see next year. Wonder why they did move it from the Dalton, other than changing things up a little?

New season started on Ice Road Truckers, to be honest I though it would not come back, getting repeatative.  One thing missing with no explaination this season is Hugh Roland, "The Bear".  The new rivals are Polar and Darrels new company pitted against each other.  Curious what happened to Hugh in real life why he is didn't return?

Last night was the finale again.  Can not imagine they can keep coming back, but people love the show.  I would have thought that Polar would have had Darrel and Lisa to their end of season banquet, since they teamed up in the end.  Still curious why Hugh Roland was not in this season. Also wonder why they never have gone back to the Dalton in several seasons.

Forgot about the series that usually runs during the summer, but believe it has ran its life span.

Today was a Yahoo news story for those who watch the show. Darrel Ward who was in the last 2 shows as a main figure was killed in a plane crash Sunday. His part in Ice Road Truckers was he left who he was driving for, not getting enough loads to start up his own turcking business. Last season was joined by Lisa as a driver for him.

In real life Darrel had left a Dallas Trucking Show, enroute back to Montana in his Sesna single engine airplane. On approach for landing he and his co-pilot crashed and were both killed. Ironically, he was returning to begin shooting a spin off series, dealing with the recovery of crashed airplanes, and he dies in one himself.

AS for the Ice Road truckers, the last season was just more of the same thing, I think it ran out of gas. Nobody ever went though the ice, a lot of cracking and creaking, probably a few places on the roads to these places are rough, but nowhere near what they try to imagine.
