Pretty sure this qualifies as an extreme idea, from a self proclaimed prophet. Kind of goes with my other post about Fundementalist levels of religions. Makes me wonder how he or people like David Karish, compute their ideas from the same scripture.

Warren Jeffs gets life in prison for sex assault

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Reuters) - A Texas jury on Tuesday sentenced polygamist leader Warren Jeffs to life in prison plus 20 years for sexually assaulting two girls he claimed as "spiritual" brides.

The 55-year-old leader of a Mormon breakaway sect was convicted there last week of sexual assault on a child and aggravated sexual assault on a child in connection with "marriages" to a 12-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl.

Jeffs is the self-proclaimed "prophet" of the Fundamentalist Church of Latter Day Saints, which has a ranch in west Texas and believes polygamy is the path to Heaven.

When you pluck a verse out of the Bible you can make it say almost anything you want. The way to avoid that, or to make sure someone else isn't doing that, is to compare it with the whole of scripture.

There is nothing wrong with quoting a verse from scripture as long as you are keeping with the original intent. That is something that these clowns rarely do.

I agree 1000%, which is exactly what the atheists groups love to do, when it comes to engineering a ridiculas analogy from a single line of scripture, and distorting what is ment. Remember when ours refused to even read what the context of the verse was from? As far as Jeffs is concerned, he was one warped dude. The jury herd his taped instructions to the young girls that graphically discribed how they should act ,and what to do to please him. 12 year olds, who's parents went along with it all. He also told followers to die resisting if they came for him, just like David Karish. Life is exactly what he should get, and also was said he will be allowed to be a leader of the Latter Day Saints in the prison. I don't think so!

Good, he deserves his fate. As far as trying to make sense of bible myths...dont bother; may as well try to find the wolf who blew the house down.
