hmm...
this intrigues
The 'God' of old (Yaweh) begins to sound more like Zeu, that kind of 'God'..

of course..in my belief system 'God' IS God's wife. (in my view God, what I believe to be God is beyond..that kind of duplicity..God is male and female and whatever else..both and neithe,r and any other thing..but this is just my take on it)

Willie Wonka quotes..
What is this Wonka, some kind of funhouse?
Why? Are you having fun?

Good Grief!

This lady is senior lecturer in the department of Theology and Religion at the University of Exeter. Is there any doubt that the "great apostasy" is in full swing?

The risk of this kind of speculation is the anthropomorphism of God.

Oh boy...here we go.

There is a severe problem with intellect..one in which so few catch and even fewer want to mention yet here it is encapsulated in the link by the OP. People of the wisdom religions even when couched in the wisdom of college educations must always return to the olde ways...even before the flood. They seek to justify it under higher intellect ..and yet it is nothing but a return to the old ways ...dressed up as something new and even divine. It is neither.

For now I will refrain from further posting so as to see where this thread is and will go..but wanted to mention that this kind of thing is neither new or intellectual..but only a return to the religions/abominations which the Children of Israel were told not to do and in which most of the nations surrounding Ancient Israel were heavily involved.

And it is once again attempting to be hidden under "higher reason..higher intellect.

It is also fit that this kind of thing should be promoted in the Universities and think tanks of the UK...very appropriate.

Thanks,
Orangetom

In my rambling thoughts I was reflecting on the notion that the earth was always considered feminine and the life blood and nurishing qualities is that something that every woman provides in the womb and during infancy, this is our first step into an eternal everlasting life. My thoughts then went outwards into the universe and found the same birthing qualities of a feminine nature ... the suns and the galaxies and the universe itself give birth to existence and provide unto all things. The process itself is a remarkable reflection of that of a woman during pregnancy and birthing from the galaxy providing a nesting ground for new stars and the stars themselves providing all atomic make up of things in the solar system(s) including everything that we know as "life". We human beings are a reflection of the whole.

I am reminded of buddist saying, "the earth is my mother and heaven is my father" ... this would provide for a reciprocal divinity and postulates that God(heaven) is masculine and the universe(Goddess) is feminine in nature.

Such a striking duality.

Too sides of one coin, me thinks.

well...simple terms..electrons are either positivelyy charged or negatively charged (that could be seen as a form of Yin/Yang, masclin/feminine (jokes of plugs and sockets aside)

they are either going to or leaving from..somewhere
-'s feminine, leaving from 'the ethers' and coming to here? (manifestation)
+'s masculine, going to 'the ethers' and leaving here? (annihilation)

hmm

Actually, if I remember what little I know of science, electrons are always negatively charged. The positron is the anti-electron and it has a positive charge.

Way to equate annihilation with masculinity though.

oops..I meant particles..not electrons..duh

(studying electromagnetism with the boy again..timely)

as far as annihalation..isn't that the opposite of manifestation? (which is creation/ giving birth..the feminine....so....ii is what it is..plus I am pretty sure I am not the first to make the comparison...sages throughout history and all that)

plus, we all are suppose to have masculine and feminine energies in us

But yeah..I had fun with it..I will admit.
