"I was walking down life's highway
A long time ago.
One day I saw a sign that read
"HEAVEN'S GROCERY STORE."
As I got a little closer,
The door came open wide,
And when I came to myself,
I was standing inside.

I saw a host of Angels,
They were standing everywhere.
One handed me a basket and said,
"My child, shop with care.
Everything a Christian needs
Is in that grocery store,
And all you can't carry ...
Come back the next day for more."

First I got some PATIENCE,
LOVE was in the same row.
Further down was UNDERSTANDING,
Needed everywhere you go.
I got a box or two of WISDOM ,
A bag or two of FAITH,
I just couldn't miss the Holy Ghost,
For He was all over the place.

I stopped to get some STRENGTH and
COURAGE to help me run this race;
But then my basket was getting full,
And I remembered I needed GRACE.
I didn't forget SALVATION ,
Which like the others was free,
So I tried to get enough of that
To save both you and me.

Then I started to the counter
To pay my grocery bill,
For I thought I had everything
To do my Master's will.
As I went up the aisle,
I saw PRAYER and I had to put it in,
For I knew when I stepped outside,
I would run right into SIN.

PEACE and JOY were plentiful,
They were on the last shelf.
SONG and PRAISES were hanging near,
So I just helped myself.
Then I said to the Angel,
"How much do I owe?"
The Angel smiled and said,
"Just take them everywhere you go!"

Again I politely asked,
"How much do I really owe?"
The Angel smiled again and said,
"MY CHILD ...
JESUS PAID YOUR BILL A
LONG TIME AGO!"

I liked this one and I thought the atheists would as well
appreciate a title like heavens grocery store. 😀

"The Potter's Wheel

When you're troubled and discouraged
In the darkness of the night
When obstruction clouds your vision
And you just can't see the light.

When life's trials overcome you
And you have nowhere to turn
When you've reached the very bottom
There are lessons you must learn.

For the clay is being molded
It's been twisted, pulled and tossed
It's been rolled and it's been pounded
Till the ego has been lost.

He will put you through the furnace
You'll be tested to the brim
Your life will be in pieces
Till you give your soul to Him.

From blemish to perfection
His hands will form the clay
This human piece of rubble
Must let God have His way.

When you come to Him all battered
In the form of mortal man
When you cry to Him in mercy
You will find the Potter's hand.

He will grind you, mold and chisel
The friction you will feel
Till He gently carves and shapes you
Upon the Potter's wheel. "

Thats a nice one. 😛

Who said I've been there, ask around, maybe someone will give you a clearance deal.

It is that video, as a matter of fact.
hehe
There definitely are beings like the clay-master out there...
Something that always gets me is when I wonder what it is that animates the clay.

I've been having an odd last 12 hours.
Odder than usual, I mean.
I had a potent vision yesterday. I was literally and figuratively in a crossroads in this vision. There were a few choices for what to do next. Go up a steep hill, stay next to the intense fire pit, go off the hill, crawl back into "Home", or take a medium path that I couldn't see far down. I stayed at the crossroads for a while trying to decide what to do. I was confronted by temptation of sorts. Offered game but refused. I ended up in a Temple though instead of asking a Monk to tell me what the hell was happening, I decided to sit and meditate on the crossroads.

The steep hill was revealed to be the way back.

I saw a vision of my true self, it was interesting and profound...to me. I'd describe it in detail but I think I'll leave that out for another time.

Then I found myself at a banquet table.

I could have kept traveling, kinda wondering actually, but I decided to eat at this banquet.
Then a booming voice came that said "now you're stuck in heaven forever". The word stuck kind of tripped me up but overall, it seemed a very positive vision. Hopeful.

Walking away from that fire pit might be the hardest thing you ever
do in your life, especially when you've been there soo long.
But when you are there such a long time, thats only a sign of
how much room had to be made for you. To accept things we
never thought possible. It sounds like you are in some very good
times. Thank you for sharing, and it fits great in the thread.
Its a wonderful vision to imagine and see it.

Kinda takes my breath away when someone can be understanding. Was that one of the items bought in heaven's grocery store?

If you were offered eternal bliss, would you take it? I would wonder if it was genuinely eternal...prolly because I overthink things.

I'm still here. Life is different all of a sudden. Nothing I haven't tasted before but... it has been a long time since I've felt this way.

Two people on a sphere traveling to the north pole would appear to each other to be drawn together.

How much like that is love?
