http://www.redcross.org/911recovery/

Atheists claim the cross in only a symbol of Christianity and want it removed. It is not just a symbol of Christianity.

The cross is the symbol of the American Red Cross, since 1881, and there is no doubt, they were primary responders to the 911 crisis. They still remain active responders in this 10 years later with many different assistance programs.

Displaying the cross of beams at the WTC would be completly proper as the symbol of who aided and assisted suvivors and families of victims of that day. The American Red Cross!

The above link shows the response of the American Red Cross on 911 .Look at the statistics of their volunteers and who they have assisted. 130 years of responding to an infinate number of disasters, with the symbol of the cross, including the WTC. Anyone see any atheists telling the red cross, take off your cross?

That's why the thing was sitting in a Catholic Church all this time eh. Why wasn't it at the Red Cross?

Nice try though.

If what you said was true then you're obviously going to have to saw off some of the length on the bottom portion of it, so that it actually resembles the Red Cross, and not Christianity. I'd have no problem with it then.

I don't believe what I believe because it's what I desire to believe. I believe what I believe because it's what science, evidence, and logic causes me to believe.

Indeed displaying the cross would be the same as forced indoctrination.

So you do not object to the cross, you obect only to its height? You have no problem cutting it shorter. Since God is imaginary to you it wouldn't matter if it was in a wherhouse, red cross, or a church, its just steel. How many styles of crosses do you think there are?

Quit playing dumb. You know what I'm talking about. That piece of rubble resembles a Christian cross, not the Red Cross cross. And its been sitting in a Catholic church all this time because of that.

I suppose we just let anybody put up whatever they want all over public property then.

What is the harm in that?

Very funny! EH if anyone is the expert about playing dumb on this forum its you. Everyone of your proofs, and responses is predicated on playing dumb, and taking out of context a verse from a chapter, or twisting words from everyone. Playing dumb by insisting that inturpetations you distort, is the true meaning of the verse and chapter.

Its not playing dumb to show there are dozens of styles of crosses, and you thought if you cut the cross down short, you said you have no problem with it, until you saw the example of greek crosses. It is not playing dumb to show that other organizations also use a cross as a symbol, not just Christian religions. Just happens that, the red cross also is one of the primary responders to this tragedy.

Playing dumb is 4 atheists who in a federal lawsuit, point out their religous prior affilation, and that they are now atheists, offended by, and physically damaged by the displaying of this cross. Horse crap, they are as healthy as you! I'm sure you read the first and second primary physical symptoms of the claim, which is only playing dumb, like whiplash pain in a fender bender is hard to disproove. Fabrication of emotional distress, depression, and having the trotts! Give it a break, its all playing dumb, these people are as healthy as you, just playing a game with the courts like you play on this board. Like I said before, people are tired of paying the price in life for every asshole like this in our courts.

At least nobody can deny the American Red Cross, who have over 40,000 volunteers, aided over 60,000 families, and distributed billions of dollars in aid, could have a valid reason for countersuit for the cross to remain, on the basis it is their symbol and they were primary responders.
