The most disgusting thing imaginable. Hey, why don't we open up a mega-sushi bar on the shores of Pearl Harbor. How bout painting a swaztica over the 50 stars while we're at it. This country is going to shit real fast...faster than ever before.

You think the Muslim fanatics are going to calm down because of this? They're going to laugh at it. It's like trying to invite Jeffrey Dahmer to Thanksgiving.

To all those beginning to authorize this -- F*** Y**. You're all scum and should be extradited to Iran.

😡 😡 😡

IMO terrorists were responsible for 9-11, I don't care if they were Protestant, Catholic, Shiite, Sunni, Ismali, Samaritan, Jewish, Hundu, Buddhist or any other religion, nor do I care which nation they came from or the color of their skin. So I find no insult in a holy place being built near what is becoming/has become sacred ground. If the IRA had done 9-11 I would not have problems with a Roman Catholic church being built near it. Its probably more of an insult to build another commercial business/golden calf at the site, but I'm even willing to ignore that.

BTW there are over 10 Sushi Bars located at Pearl Harbour along the Middle, East, and Southeast Lochs. See The Yellowpages.

This anti-build a mosque near Ground Zero campaign has been sparked by reactionary xenophobes, The Tea Party and the likes of Sarah Palin. At this point in time, event_horizon, we do not need to continue adding prejudice into the nation's discourse. Instead, in light of all the conflict that exists on this planet, conflict albeit created and perpetuated by the US Empire, we should strive towards understanding and reconciliation.

IMO it's religion that causes most of the division among people in the first place. It's religion that puts ideas into the minds of the weak to kill other people so they get a place in "Heaven" with a bunch of virgins. It would create more homegrown terrorism.

The Muslim agenda is to change the world to their faith...looks like they're taking a step towards that goal. We're giving in to them.

Building a Mosque near Ground Zero is an insult to all those that died on 9-11, and IMO it makes us look weak and succumbing. I'm almost ashamed to be an American today. I certainly hope they don't actually go through with this.

I don't believe what I believe because it's what I desire to believe. I believe what I believe because it's what science, evidence, and logic causes me to believe.

Taking the wife and kid with you? I hope you two didn't break up. Y'all make a great couple, as far as I know from here anyway.

So whats' better, Austrailia or England? Heck I might see you over there.

Yeah we're all going. We're staying with her parents for 6 months in Pennsylvania first, we have a 3-4 day drive to get there starting on sunday.

I would pick Australia. England is good as far as not being particularly religious is concerned, but we're no better when it comes to excessive immigration and pandering to Muslims etc.

I've got no problem with the immigration thing, as long as they come in legally. I'm no racist. It's just this Mosque thing that's really ticking me off right now. I love this country and hate the thought of leaving it. It's just the direction were headed in ain't good right now with all this appeasing BS. If I do actually decide to leave I just want to go to a country that speaks my language, although I'd have to get the "bloody" lingo down. lol
