Why is it legal and okay for people to divorce and remarry over and over again (and have kids with each new temporary spouse), and living together unmarried, and having kids out of wedlock, while Poligamy and Bigamy are still severely frowned on and still illegal?
That seems insane to me.

They need to leave these people alone..
talk about having issues with the splinter in another's eye, while ignoring the plank of wood on your own..on societies part.

It doesn't seem to be in the spirit of the constitution for the government to regulate relationships much, imo. Contracts on the other hand are a different story. I'm a bit mystified by marriage being considered a legal contract. It's tempting to think that the government shouldn't be in the marriage business at all.

Pretty sure that of all those situations Bionic, Bigamy could be construed as marriage fraud while all the others are situations of consenting adults. People know when they have married a divorsed person, or in the case of Poligamy have consented to live as a multiple spouse under the same roof.
With Bigamy either you never got divorsed or you deserted someone, or you carry on 2 secret marriages simultaneous, shuttling between 2 wives and 2 lifes. In either case wife #1 and wife #2 (or husband 1 & 2) don't know about the other.
Bottom line is consenting adults, and if they start allowing same sex marriage, tell us its not abnormal, than we have to rewrite the books, allowing multiple spouses as also not abnormal.

8.
the legal right to use a patent owned by another.
The definition above is the accepted version these days but go back to some very old Law Dictionaries and the definition is very different.
A License is a grant or approval to do something that is or would be otherwise ILLEGAL to do under the old definitions.
A marriage License, Gun License etc etc is an invention of the Government to raise revenue and to control peoples lives ... Would someone please point out the section of the U.S Constitution that give the US Federal Government or any state Government the right to require any one to have a License to get married, carry a gun or even drive a vehicle please?
To be required to obtain a license by a Government to do things which you are entitled to do because of your GOD given rights to do is evidence a completely controlled and owned society.
Remember remember the fifth of November
Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder, treason
Should ever be forgot...

Amen. Luckily you don't need a license to walk across the street.
As an aside what do you think about a license to have children. You have a license to drive, to carry a GUN, and to get married, but not to have children? Like I said earlier, the government as defined by the constitution has no business in our personal lives. If they had a license to have children, there would be an outrage...
